How to use Cruise Control
How to use cruise control in a manual car for the first time will feel a bit scary. So this video will talk you through the step by step way to use cruise control in a manual car. Once I have covered how to use cruise control, we will then move onto driving on an open dual carriageway(similar to a motorway) and use the cruise control function in the car. We will cover the benefits of using cruise control, such as fuel savings(money in your pocket), less stressful driving experience and less fatigue when you arrive at your destination after a long journey.

Hi, if there is a motorway near you and a dual carriageway. Then practice getting on and off the carriageway then move on to motorways. But try them when it’s quiet.

The entrance is literally at the bottom of my road and it’s even a smart section so I don’t even have to join but I’m just scared to do it alone! Thank you for the advice I might find a dual carriageway

Hi James. What would happen if you set cruise control, and for whatever reason the car couldn’t sustain it? I.e. you’d set it to - say - 40, and either the road going uphill, not enough revs, being in too high a gear, etc. meant it couldn’t maintain 40. Would it just switch itself off?

If the hill was very steep and even dropping a gear down did not make a difference then I would expect the car to struggle and eventually cruse to turn itself off.
What's the latest news from dvsa on taking driving tests. When will this resume?

That’s a good question. It could resume from July 4th. A lot would depend on the government and if the DVSA are ready to resume. If they are not, then it will be longer.
Any new updates from government when driving tests will be permitted to be taken again?

Cruise control in the UK 😂😂 Absolutely pointless, you’ll be behind a car within seconds and needing to turn it off. This video must have been done on a Sunday at 6am 🤣

If you are in rush hour traffic, then I agree cruise control will not work. But it will work when the situations are right for it.
