Great information. One more hack - if you want to transfer your points to Marriott Bonvoy, never do it directly. First transfer to ITC and from there to Bonvoy. This way you will get 12 points against 10 edge reward points

one of the best videos - also you covered accorplus - I have always seen people covering itc/taj/marriot, but accor seems to be best in terms of the redemption. keep it up man.

For a more ideal scenario; suppose someone spends 1L on magnus in a month; he/she is getting 31000 ER ( 25k + 6k ) which if converted to Accorpoints at 5:4 will give 24800 points. now if we take lower multiple of 2k ( As accor points are redeemable in multiples of 2k ) will give a value of 24000 * 1.8 = 43200 . Then the reward rate is 43.2% on accor points which is huge ( considering 1 accor point to be value 1.8 INR )

Suppose if I have to book ticket for my wife and my brother, then should I create vistara memebership ID for them too ? Then add that in my axis and transfer to their membership ? Or can I transfer the mile only to my account and book for them as well ?

From travel edge to air miles point to any airlines/hotel loyalty, it is giving 10:4 ratio. For 300 travel edge it is giving me only 120 point.

Thanks for making this video. One doubt though: How much do one need to pay in cash (on the counter) apart from the points booking? Is it only for taxes or there is some rule on that calculation? Also, is that amount shown in the app once we are booking via points?

I am planning to transfer 70% in Accor, 30% in Vistara. Vistara has lot of international routes also now which are increasing, 3 yrs validity and good value. SpiceJet gives very low value of points

I have transferred my edge points (more than 1.5 lac) to ITC only. Then, I will transfer 50% green points to Marriott bonvoy. I will not transfer points to Vistara becz i already accumulated enough CV points & business class tickets through my Axis Club Vistara Infinite card.

I haven’t used Travel Edge for hotel booking. But if you have Axis Magnus, you get 5x points which converts into 24% Airmiles. If you can use those Airmiles even at 1:1 rate, it is better than 10% instant discount with some upper limit offers on MMT

@@SpendWiselyOfficial Great that you are taking time in research. From my understanding the airmiles game is just too complex. I am going to use my Magnus ER for Accor primarily.

short note: if we spend 1lac then we get 36000 edge points which is equivalent to 43200 Rs in accor live which is almost 45% if spent all 1lac using grab deals which is 5x then for 1 lac we get 55000 edge points which is equivalent to 66,000 rs in accor live lol you are living free in accor live almost

Can I book for friend using this or only it is used for personal use only . I don’t see any information for adding other guests name?

You can make booking of multiple rooms but you must be one of the guests staying in those rooms. You must be part of the trip. If you are not travelling, you can’t book hotel using Accor points as booking will be in your name

Yes, it will work in same way. Just transfer Infinia points to same Accor ALL account, and book the hotel. There also 1 Point will fetch 1.8 rupees value

I tried to transfer edge reward points to Accor points, but there is a notification on Axis TravelEdge portal "Note: Redemption on Accor and Air Vistara is temporarily out of service. You can continue to redeem on the other partners". Kindly let us know whether they are permanently removed as partners? Any other hotel which can give us 1.8x redemption ratio like Accor?

This analysis is not good. Everyone should consider their own lifestyle to calculate real value of point. How much would you pay for a night stay in Accor in your next destination. Some may be actually staying in such premium hotel and for them full value for each accor point. For some others, they may be willing to stay at a premium hotel like Accor if the price was discounted by 50-60%, and for them less value for accor point.

Probably, you don’t know much about Accor Hotels. Its has 39 hotel chains which includes IBIS Hotel also. IBIS Hotels are super budget hotel which are less than Rs.3000 per night. In many popular cities and tourist destinations, you can get it even lower than Rs.2,000 per night and it can be booked using Accor points. IBIS in Bangkok is available at just 2600 per night. You should have tried to research before commenting.

No, its fixed conversion rate in Euros. 2000 Accor Points = EUR 40
