    Thank you very much I also have experienced its adverse effects when I used it wet. Now I purchased dry cowdung cakes, shamsh them into granules dry them if required then pour it on soil. Works well for me

    This is the mistake I committed , I had put raw cow dung to my rose plant and within few days it died.. Now I know how to use it correctly..👍👍

    Use cow dung "manure" Not it's dried form because when you'll water it it may leads to fungus

    We have some cow dung which is about 6 months old and now it’s raining/ rainy season, can we use them on the plants? Or we should wait until dry season and apply on that time? Thanks

    So sweet of you to explain Sir. Thank you so much. But i believe even only drying will not help. One has to soak it in water and let it compost for months and months and then dry it and bla bla... lengthy process to obtain the final product manure.

    Heard fresh cow dung is not good. If I used old one. all of them are wet .advice. I am from tropical rain forest region.

    He is right. Fresh dung could have have coli bacteria. After 20 days the Indian heat turns that into compost. Our ancestors are brilliant.

Also the brilliance here refers to the idea of heating than the heat itself. Cannot believe I am explaining this to you.

    Any type of manure should be dried then mixed with soil and sprinkled with little water to help decomposing process. using fresh wet manure will bring disease from harmful bacteria and worms and would destroy plant.

    Well, figure its composted from the cows digestive system. I just don't want certain bacteria, so I let it sunbathe for a couple weeks. Did I got it right?

    Don't wait for a reply, use your sensitivity and experiment. I'd replace the soil of the pot.

    Does cow dung necessarily mean dung of cow? Can we have mix of cow and buffalo dung. Because getting pure cow dung is difficult.

    Ya afcouse but make sure that the dung u are collecting from a cow is a desi cow, not a jersey or hf. Desi cows dung have millions of micro organisms in it but in case of Buffalo's the microbes are less but you can use them both👍👍

    I mixed cow and rabbit. Friends of mine use horse. A friend has a donkey, so, uses the donkey's. Others use the human's toilet, too. Just respect the process of composting, so it's proper to use. Theres a book on human manure, called HUMANURE. hehehhe

    but bro when they will dry it then the harmul bacteria and termites or any other harmul insect will move away from the cow dung and after applying it in the field it will be decomposed by the fungus and earthworms present at the plantation site :)

    No. It will work in its best possible way. I can share my experience with you. I have small space on my terrace. And I sowed tomato seeds from a good quality tomato. I used dry cowdung manure after completely drying and making it in fine powdered form. I mixed it with the soil and in today's date my all tomato plants are so beautiful that I feel very happy to see them they all have good growth and now soon tomatoes will bloom

    I don’t think this is right. Most people let it turn to manure by composting. This dry does not seem to make much sense. Even Rajiv Dixit recommends making it wet.

    No brother cactus are plants native to desert where they don't have enough nutrition...if u want to use then use nt more than 10 percent n also should be well rotten ....also use bone meal or stone dust for calcium because from where they belongs nutrients are just calcium phosphorus 👍

    This is a foolish comment, Never follow this foolish comment, instead you should use wet cow dung that too desi cow dung , it will be better if you make Jeevamritham out of wet cow dung, with one kg cow dung and one litre cow urine you can make 20 litre Jeevamritam and can be used for 10 cent as manure, So with one cow we can make manure for 30 acre cultivation.

    Fresh cow dung (cow dung is considered fresh upto 7 days without contact of sunlight and rain water )is best but if you don't have fresh cow dung then you can add water in it.

    @@premgoyal7367 yes we can use after treatment of the slury. We have need to add some gaumutara , gur and besan and keep this in shade for 48hrs. After this you can use it.
