Thank you so much. In ground, do not use cocopeat. Garminate the seed in pot, you can do it in cocopeat.

Hello there. You have advised using cocopeat directly once the brick expands and becomes powdery. A lot of people are of the opinion that cocopeat needs to be washed 4-5 times to wash away the sea salt. What has been your experience with regards to using cocopeat without excessive washing? I sowed some seeds of watermelon in a tray with 98 pots using coco peat . but seeds are not germinating .date of seed sowing 02/01/2021. what should I do. average temperature of Jan -2021 is around 14 degree Celsius. Some time temperature went around 6 degree Celsius.

For seeds germination, temp should be more than 15 degree celsius to 25 degree celsius. You can sow it in the first week of feb.

*Teen saal pahle jab Kolkata ke upor se AMPHAN jaisa khatarnak tufan(Wind speed 160kms/hour) pass hua mera ekbhi cocopeatwala poudha ukhad nahi gaya, jabki pot mein 65%cocopeat aur baki Vermicompost etc. the, koi bhi mitti nahi thi. Kiunki ihan acche mitti milti nahi isliye mere pass jitne poudhe Rooftop mein hai har poudha soilless pot mein hi grow kar rahe hai 8 saalon se. Poudhe hai Nimbu, Guava, tomato, mirchi, mango etc. Han, har pot mein ek do Bamboo stick jarur lagata hun.*

Check the drainage. If it is good. Add some compost and neem cake only.

Hi, thanks. I added coco peat as per ur instructions in my pot mix for replanting my tulsi plant. But I got fungus on top of the soil. I believe, is it because of wet coco peat I had added? I have removed the fungus from the top soil and stopped watering. I am just worried if it will destroy the roots of my Tulsi plants….kindly advice…

Hi, have you seen soil mixture video? And how much have you added? Although it hardly attracts fungus but if you are adding water unnecessarily then fungus will grow. Kindly sprinkle some fungicide.

@@Voiceofplant I hardly added any water. But coco Peat was wet, but it was hardly 20% . I think I should have squeezed water from it. Anyways I have added more dry soil on the top and mixed it. Let's see. Thank you so much for your quick reply

Maine cocopeat bina dhoye soil me mix karake usame plant laga diya. Baad me pata chala ki usame sea water salt hota hai to उसे dhona chahiye. Soch rahi hu plant kharab to nahi ho jayega. Kya aapane cocopeat bina dhoye use kiya hai? Aur usame plant kuchh mahine healthy raha hai?
