youre probably doing it too fast, or using pad and have large hands, either is fixable with slowing down and being patient to build what ppl call "proper technique", or buying a controller better suited to your hands, like a stick maybe.

additionally you can kinda just do almost a whole circle because jumpsquat {your jump startup} doesn't lock your up direction as soon as the animation starts, only when you leave the ground, so do ↓↘→↗↑↖ hope that helps.

The way I like to do is to either go for a half circle back or a quarter circle back (depending on side of screen), and the moment I feel I hit the back input, I just pull all the way to UF and hit kick slightly before it. I just grip it with my fingertips, because I use korean lever to play Remember the input doesn't have to be super clean. You could do a full circle, as long as you correctly input a QCB in between, and press kick during the UF part.

Do we have to input the up forward and kick input at the same frame? I do the input but it seems there is a height restriction before the divekick comes out.

You can press UF and Kick at the same time, you don't need to jump first. There seems to be a minimum height where it can be performed, but the game automatically puts you at that height if you do the input from the ground.

This feels impossible on dpad

Não precisa ser exatamente ao mesmo tempo, mas tem que ser cedo, senão você perde o buffer da meia-lua e aí o golpe não sairá.

This is so difficult to input on a hitbox

Not gonna lie trying this feels so weird because your on the ground doing the input and then have to instant air into button. It's gonna really take some getting use to.

does this apply to other characters with divekicks, like Juri?

Someone asked about Juri and I tested it. The first method doesn't seem to work, she probably has higher height restriction for her divekick. Second method seems to work fine, tho.

How come the instant Dive Kick isn’t displayed in the command list in game? (Maybe it’s in a different menu?)

It isn't a different move, it is a normal dive kick done as soon as you jump

Any modern cammys tried this? Im new to the game and cant get the instant divekick while inputting the quarter circle back first

Just tried Modern out of curiosity. The input seems to work fine... Were you doing QCB+UF+attack button or special? For special, you can also just do UF+Special and it will come out. The downside is that you can't choose the strenght, but its not a huge downside imo.

@@justApplay I was doing the attack button, just got air attacks, not the dive kick… Maybe its my timing, cuz most of the time i jump backwards aswell. Imma try the special input then!

It’s easier to just jump then dive kick
