Somehow I missed the existence of your Logic Pro channel, even though I’ve watched scads of your GarageBand videos. I have Logic on my Mac and have just about decide to subscribe to Logic Pro for my iPad Pro out of frustration with GarageBand, so I’m glad you are showing the way with Logic as well. Thanks and cheers!

The TASCAM Model 12 digital mixer is excellent for Logic Pro as it works not only as a audio mixer, I can use it as a DAW Controller Interface as well as an Audio Interface. Oh, and it can also do multitrack recording on the SD Card at the same time I am recording into Logic.

I heard about people getting pops, and noises, and are thus forced to turn up buffet size, to get rid of unwanted artifacts, which greatly increases latency. This was with usb-c. I heard cable also plays a role. has this been your experience? Any issues with latency?

I have the presonus usb 96 anniversary edition and I have to plug everything in before I start Logic Pro for Ipad. A recorded instrument cuts in and out like it's skipping, plus it's twice as fast as it should be. I have to then unplug the interfaces power and plug it back in to make it stop skipping. Works perfect until the next session.

Thank you for the video. Was just wondering if you know if there are any audio interfaces available where you can just plug them directly into an iPhone or iPad without the need for the camera adapter where they're lightning connections and not USB-C or is that a limitation with lightning that requires you to have the adapter? Seems a little odd to need an adapter to basically take a USB lead and convert it into lightning when there are already lightning to USB leads. Is there a reason for this or are there different types of lightning to USB leads perhaps? Thanks.

The Line6 Sonicport VX can connect directly to Lightning, but you have to buy the cable separately and its a proprietary cable, so not easily available. But it does have a guitar input, stereo line inputs and a built in stereo/mono condenser mic, so its quite flexible.

Hey Patrick, I have a question. I've just bought the universal audio Volt 1 interface (thanks to you and others' recommendation) and now have to buy a good dongle. I need the dongle to connect the Volt 1 to my iPad, because I believe it only comes with the USB-C to USB cable. I also need it to connect my midi keyboard and to charge the iPad. So my question is: Wouldn't the dongle diminish the audio fidelity running from the interface into the iPad? I'm no tech wizard, so excuse my ignorance. I'm just concerned, that if I were to record some guitar or vocals for instance, and connected the Volt 1 with a USB-C to USB-C cable directly into my iPad, wouldn't that be better than running it through a dongle and perhaps losing some quality? This is as you know not that convenient, as I then wouldn't be able to charge my iPad or connect a midi keyboard at the same time. It just feels kinda pointless to invest in an interface to record high quality audio, to then run it through some third party dongle. Thanks for all that you do! Subbed to both channels.

  • @TheLogicProGuide
