we have a 2017 acura mdx and LKAS works no problem, but ACC is consistently blinking from green to orange and it won’t work. I don’t know how to fix it and there was no code found.

I just bought a 2015 TLX and can't seem to make the regular cruise control work. Maybe I'm in a weird mode or something. The manual says it should just work when hitting the main button and then res + or set - to slow down. I've just had it a few days and bought it from a Ford dealer who checked it prior to my purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TY in advance!

@@acuracanada I actually figured it out after checking the manual again. I'm used to old cars where you have to push a separate button on the side to "initiate" cruise control. With these new fangled things you have to "initiate" it by hitting the main button and then something :) Now if I can just get the trunk open. I did it once or twice but now it seems stuck.

The statement that cruise control should never be used in bad weather is wrong. I'm guessing they meant to say that using ACC (adaptive cruise control) in bad weather is a bad idea. I've used regular cruise control most of my adult life successfully in any weather condition.

Hi Jeff. We would advise checking the owners' manual for full details on using cruise control, as it is not recommended for use in inclimate weather.

@@acuracanada Hi, I see multiple places in the manual where it says you should not use ACC in bad weather, but I see nothing stating that I should not use standard (non-ACC) cruise in bad weather. If you don't believe that is the case, could you please point out which page of the 2020 rdx manual states that regular cruise control should not be used in bad weather? It's common sense to possibly not use it in the snow, but I've always used cruise in the rain.

@@jeffh2125 Probably because regular cruise control just sets the speed and depends on the driver to maintain distance, so driver is constantly paying attention. With adaptive cruise, the (radar/sonar/whatever) maintains a determined gap between you and the car ahead, meaning the driver can be paying less attention, AND, most importantly, inclement weather can interfere with the adaptive cruise's (radar/sonar/whatever) so as to make it unreliable in certain conditions, like heavy rain. Mine just cuts out if it starts to rain hard or won't even allow you to set it if it's already raining hard. But regular cruise control does not use (radar/sonar/whatever) so you can still use it regardless of the weather. As long as it's only raining/snowing lightly I don't think that's a problem but I'm sure for liability reasons the auto manufacturers will recommend against using it under all but optimal conditions.

@@mellowjammer Absolutely. That was my whole point. I've even used cruise control on a 61 Alpha Romeo wherein a mechanical metal wire pulls the gas-petal up or down like the throttle cable on a lawn mower. I'm still here to talk about it. I might even use ACC as long as I felt it were working and I was paying special attention. It's just common sense.

The ACC of Accura RDX (2019 model) is the worst thing that was ever developed by Acura. The module broke down and an error message kept popping up. Acura finally ended up accepting to replace the module in 2021 and now again the module is down and the error message is appearing and cruise control is not working. This is a car I would never buy again. Absolute crap.
