This is so true! I’m in a long distance relationship and it makes the romance much better and more intentional. I long to be with him and it is exciting when we do get together again. You get to know them better too because you’re not together every day and you’re communicating 75 % of the time. I certainly love having my space too. 😉

We are so attracted to each other and there is love and emotional attachment. I am single and he is aware that I am keeping my options open by rotational dating. He also knows that I want exclusivity, and feel a deep connection with him, but he goes in and out of wanting to commit. And he can be inconsistent with his attention towards me as well. So I decided to put this advice to the test. I haven't seen/spoken to him for 24 hours. I didn't expect it but he called and texted me already. I haven't checked in with him or made any posts. How long should I keep this up? Can you speak more on this subject?

I have a deep emotional connection with someone. He appears to be confused on wherher he wants a relationship. He literally said "I'm not ready, I think I'm ready, maybe in a year, I'm meeting new woman all the time." I was like sir which is it, cuz he said all that in one breath. Such a confused soul, so I pulled all the way back from him. He told me he has too many other " competing priorities , so I'm scarce to him now. He only reaches out when his daughter wants to talk to my daughter. They're besties, but I'm bored, so I ingnored his last text when he reached out for them to talk. When I disappear he eventually reaches out to "check in with me." So, we'll see.

I tried that and it worked. I have him space and he ended up calling me to ask why he hasn’t heard from me. And now he can’t stop calling me. However I’m still left in that position where I don’t know where we stand, cause he says hes not ready emotionally. I’m confused

If he says he is not ready emotionally.. then you can’t be available physically or emotionally too for him. It’s imperative that you mirror his energy and that’s what I call self preservation. You don’t want to be vulnerable and get hurt from loving someone who is not ready to be all in with you on that. Remove the focus from him and put in on you. Get bored with him, it will help you release some of the emotion you feel for him. When he comes back again to ask you why you re cold towards him and seem not to be available… tell him, you can’t expend your emotions for someone who isn’t ready emotionally. It’s too much power to give to anyone. Let him decide what he wants to do about that.

Then sadly he is not the one for you cause honestly a man who really loves a woman wil find it hard to remain distant for too long. That same man you think is distant might be meeting up on all front with some other girl that piques his interest. The man who loves you and with whom you have established an emotional connection with, will not bear to stay without checking in on you. Know this and know peace.
