Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This machine is super funky! It is a sewing machine AND an overlock/serger! In this video, I'll show you how to use the serger/overlock side. Be sure to check out Part 2 where I show you how to use it to sew.

When threading to overclock there’s part of it but it’s totally off screen and I have no idea what you’re actually doing. Would be lovely to see it. PS I think you’re wonderful and enjoy watching your videos

Thanks for posting this, I have the same machine and was hoping for help in using it but unfortunately the camera angle doesn't show the threading. Cheers

Thank you for sharing. I bought this machine in the '80s and broke the serger needle and have never been able to get it going again. As I watched your video I learned about the gadgets that I've never used. LOL. Do you have a recommendation for the serger needle purchase? Maybe you can supplement the video with a very elementary how to change the needle and what to avoid when doing so-- Thanks!

Im sorry for the Delayed Responce I had no idea youtube was holding the comments until now. As far as a needle I use a standard sharp sewing needle.

@@SewSaveMe Thank you for your reply. I tried new needles and they are still breaking. I don't know what is wrong, it may just need to go to a repair service to get it back in working order.

What setting do you use for a flaltlock?

All 2 thread overlock machines can flatlock. You simply loosen the looper and when your done you pull on it to flatten it out. Thats why I own my Riccar Lock 320 I use it mainly for flat locking and edging.

I just obtained one a Combi machine, and it needs a new belt. The service manual for the machine does not address belt replacement. I've taken all of the covers off except for the serger end where the belt is located and can't figure out how to get that off. Can you help - I would sure appreciate it the machine is immaculate and would like to get this up and running again

I dont own the machine no longer. But if I recall I think you have to remove the top crank shaft out to do this. And maybe even the lower I was lucky I didnt have to do this. It would not be a easy job at all.

@@SewSaveMe agree with you, replacing the belt would not be easy. Mend It has just replaced a motor in one and trying to get the belt back on was fiddly. There was also a capacitor in this machine that had blown. Tell tale sign is that awful smell coming from the motor area. Thank you for your video it helped us to work out how the machine sews/overlocks.

Im sorry for the Delayed Responce I had no idea youtube was holding the comments until now. I would make sure the tensions are clean. If they got old gummy oil in them could cause this. Other then that im not 100 percent sure.
