How to use a nasal spray properly | correct and incorrect ways

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to get the best out of your nasal spray and the correct ways to administer it by understanding some basic nasal anatomy.
Whether you’re using a nasal spray for hay fever, allergies, a cold, nasal dryness or any nasal problem, it’s important to get your nasal spray technique right.
Using a nasal spray correctly means that you can be reassured that the contents are more likely to get to where they need to be and should work more effectively.
The video demonstrates the proper techniques below.
Helpful hygiene tip: never share the same spray bottle as this may spread infection and could potentially worsen your condition. Clearly labelling your bottle is a great way to ensure that there’s no confusion between who’s nasal spray belongs to whom.
For more info about nasal sprays and how they can provide relief, go to www.flo.com.au
! Always read the label. Follow directions for use. If symptoms persist, worsen or change unexpectedly, talk to your health professional.

Hi Jordan, have you tried a larger volume sinus wash? if your problem is due to mucosal inflammation within the ear canal or caused by an Eustachian Tube blockage from excessive mucus production, it may help to use a large volume irrigation. It might also be a good idea to treat for allergic rhinitis (hayfever) if you suspect you may have hayfever symptoms. Good luck! We hope you feel better soon.

Yes its a good idea to use a nasal saline for nasal symptoms like these. Have you ever been diagnosed with allergies/hayfever? Perhaps you should consider an antihistamine nasal spray. We recommend you use a nasal saline first because it cleanses the area and helps any medicated nasal sprays work more effectively. You should talk to a health professional if you have had these symptoms for so many years!

Generally an anti histamine helps with this. Have you worked out what you're allergic to? Claratyne, Zyrtec and Telfast are brand examples. Garlic/horseradish and Vitamin C is great too. Flo nasal spray is not an anti histamine spray. It is basically for a blocked nose. If your allergies are so severe, a good Kinesiologist can be of help.
