How to Use a Modeling Spoon

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

When you think of leather tooling, the first tools that come to mind are probably a swivel knife, a bevel and a maul. But a modeling spoon is a simple tool that can really take your work to the next level, especially if you're a beginner. In this video, Daniel Reach goes over a few different ways you can use a modeling spoon on your projects. From creating realistic hair texture to erasing small mistakes, the modeling spoon is a versatile tool you need to have in your arsenal.
For a more in-depth look at how you can use the modeling spoon, check out Daniel's video on creating hair texture here: • Creating Hair Texture ...

Your video on hair texture with the nome helped me create one of my favorite pieces yet. I did a mule deer buck on a very large knife sheath. Wish we could post pictures because it came out superb.

@@DanielReachCreations Will do, but I have to catch up on the videos first. I've been too busy the last 5 months or so with some new contracts, and i am now getting some spare time (thanks to my bad back) to get back to doing some leather crafting. There are still some of the older videos of Chucks that I haven't seen yet. I need to go back and watch them all to avoid suggesting topics that have already been covered.

Daniel, another great video. You have a very comfortable, easy to follow manner of speaking and explaining. I just recently purchased a set of modeling spoons and have not had the chance to use them. Really looking forward to it.
