    I really appreciate that she mentioned how sometimes hyaluronic acid can sometimes draw moisture out of your skin, I watch alot of skincare videos and no one else has mentioned this fact. My face was noticeable dryer after using a stand alone hyaluronic acid serum. I'm not sure on what percentage it was but good to know that the dryness I experienced was from what I had suspected.

Oh, always put a cream (any cream) on top of a HA serum, or else you will dry out your skin as the serum will then draw moisture from your skin instead of from the cream on top. Make sense? :)

    Lab Muffin just came out with a video short explaining that your skin doesn't need to be damp to put on HA because serums are mostly water to begin with and so are moisturizers with HA. Also, she says HA doesn't draw water out of your skin and make you drier because that's not how it binds to water (though I still don't quite understand the chemistry of that, she's a chemist, so she ought to know what she's talking about - but in any case, if you're applying a serum that's mostly water it couldn't do any sucking out of your skin for lack of water).

    I love the ha from the the ordinary! It’s fab for my skin! Also a question I know it’s not related to this video, I use ponds cold cream at night to break up the oils and dirt on my face .. to double cleanse could I use the cerave hydrating cleanser as the second cleanse? As that’s quite oily too? I don’t want to use the foaming one as I have more dry skin? Thank you :) love your videos! They are making me happy especially in a time like this xx 💕

    Dr dray - do you have a preference between Neutrogena hydro boost or the indeed labs serum?

  • @mistyramon
    @mistyramon4 жыл бұрын

    I agree about the Neutrogena Hydroboost. I tried it before I discovered your channel when it first came out. I tried it as a stand alone moisturizer and it didn’t work for my dry skin. I didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t meant for my skin type. Hada labo’s hyaluronic products work well for me under Cerave so I might try it again some day under Cerave.

I like to first apply my Eltamd tinted Elements all over my face, and then the glowy Colorscience spf to my upper cheekbones/cheeks, forehead and brow bone as a highlighter afterwards. It looks beautiful that way, so wanted to share the tip xo.

    When using the Neutrogena HydroBoost Extra Dry Skin, I always apply on damp or wet skin, then apply the CeraVe Renewing Cream over that. I have dry skin & live in California, so these products work well for me. I also switch off with the Hada Labo perfect cream or use a hyaluronic acid serum underneath. There is never any residual stickiness-it all gets absorbed by the skin.
