Obviously, these how-to videos are not meant for the mainstream viewers, but for those who either HAVE a specific camera or are interested in one. For that reason I tip my hat to you Nico....this is the kind of site that needs to be the example and not the exception. I hope most people will give these videos a thumbs up even if they are not interested in the camera in question....one of these days it might be THE camera you want to know about.....THEN you will be glad Nico provides these videos. THANKS NICO-YOU ROCK!!!!!!

4:52 Good for glasses also because the viewfinder magnification is only 0.60x, allowing people with glasses to see 28mm frame lines. That's the main reason I bought this camera.

When this camera first came out there was a story going around that Konica sent a representative to Leica in Germany with the Hexar RF. I can't recall if they were Leica Camera or still E. Leitz Wetzlar. The rep was promptly shown the door. I don't know how true this is but it makes for a good story.

I owned plenty Leica M ( 45 years of shooting Leica ) then my friend want me to try this Konica Hexar RF , it’s different but it’s very good , much better than I thought. More practical than Leica , faster loading and unloading , very accurate light meter. Lighter weight , fantastic optical viewfinder and Shutter sound very quiet much quieter than Leica . If you are shooting for wedding then this camera better than Leica because of less chance to miss . Technically more advance than your Leica M but still give you the feel of shooting Leica .

Hi, i found a beautiful one, without lens, so i had to buy one and wait, when i get the lens i put in a film. but the film needs often three or more times for corretly wounding. i had to try and open the back and correct the film again and again. that is not funny.. 😕 i don't know why there are no kinda " teeth" to catch the film, just on tiny tooth....my old nikon has lots of them for winding correctly...... greets BM

So j ended up having to send it away for almost 4-5 months just for something silly like that. I ended up returning it with 100% cashback and buying a hexar AF until I could afford a M7 . Is it just me that thought there were DX coding contacts in the film canister loading side? That confused me a bit. Usually you try and set the ISO right before you load the film. Made that mistake before. If those weren’t DX coding contacts then what were they? Zoomed in but couldn’t tell.

Nico the internet experts say these cameras are not reliable. What does Kamera store see as a percentage of good to bad? Is it risky to buy one? Searching for a Leica alternative.

Had mine for 7 years already. It is still chugging along. Only issue is that the right line for the 28mm frame lines kind of disappeared. But other than that it’s all good. Having said that, I am still cautious of electronic cameras hence a manual Leica is in the cards.

Well, depends on the "experts" you refer to. I have one over 10 years and it is still working without a flaw. Of course, if somethings electronic breaks, there will be some trouble to get it done or find a replacement. But same with my digital fully electronic cameras: Having spare parts a few models back is not confirmed nowadays by the vendors.
