Omg thank you. We have felt dumb for over an hour trying to figure out how to get the bits to attach.

Don't use mine often, couldn't remember what the numbers were for - such a nice simple explanation of the whole drill. No messing around, no wasted time. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I have been fumbling around with this drill for years and never really knew it's capabilities. Plus you are a good teacher--nice voice.
thank you, it took me more than 2 hours that i still could not figure it out by myself. saved my day. btw, i am software engineer, i feel so bad now, i know nothing about real world
We just bought a 20V DeWalt Drill - So excited to have something with more power for DIY jobs! Thanks for this quick lesson! Appreciate it!
Thanks for explaining the numbers on the clutch. So many videos skip or barely say anything about them. If they do, it sounds like they are saying it's also like speed when it is not.
Thank you for the demonstration. I am perhaps the only woman who's first truly exciting purchase as a newly single person was a 20 volt Dewalt drill!

Antlerdreamer Thanks for the tutoring, man. It was very easy to understand and listen to. You should be a DIY teacher lol. I know how to use my 9.6v power drill more effectively now.

Elizabeth Schneider Are you aware that DeWalt's 12 volt drill has a size and handle that better fits a woman's hand?

+B.Baxter Matheny She will do just fine with a 20v! I'm a female owner of 20v Dewalt drill and Impact wrench. I use for house hold items and work on my car builds, never once had a problem with them fitting my hands or holding for long periods of time.

For some reason you have explained to someone who has newly acquired a DeWalt in simple terms how to put the bits in. Fantastic, nobody explain ed this so clearly. Cheers
This video was very helpful! I needed to know how the clutch works and you explained it well.
Thank you, a very useful tutorial for a person who never hold a power drill in my life

Grace Paddington Appreciate the feedback/comment Welcome to the Dewalt family
Thank you so much for making this video! My niece & I were trying to fix a cabinet door hinge, and this *visual aid* was so much easier to understand, than trying to read back & forth through all of the directions!
Excellent video, better than reading the manual for the last hour.
This is the most easy to understand video so far! Thank you!!
Just bought my first drill and I had no idea how to use it. thank you so much !!!!

elainejan - Same here! I have the magnetic bits and have absolutely no idea how to use/install them. I was so happy to have purchased a “Real Drill” until I went to put the bits in. I gave up, everything is back in the dewalt bag😔
thank you! Quick and to the point.
Thank you I just got one of these as a first time home owner and the directions were worthless this is so simple!
Thank you so so much! I was just gifted this drill and driver set! I was never taught any of this and I had no idea about a clutch and speed option on a drill. I appreciate you teaching me a new life skill!
Best video yet to show how! to install the bits. Thank you!

@@Antlerdreamer What number should I use for about 2inch screws into wood if i predrill small holes and when I drill the actual screw? I just want my drill to not get over strained and last.
Omg thank you this is exactly what I was looking for. Made it super easy to work.
No manuals with Second hand tools. Great explanation And video Thanks
Thank you so much! My mom seriously just showed me how to do this before she went out shopping, but I already forgot! Plus this was a lot easier then doing it the way she did it!
thank god for this video. 'cause I was seriously going to snap in 0.5 seconds :p
I love this video it's nice to know exactly what everything does.
Thanks for this clear, simple and to the point explanation. I will be saving this and watching again and again until I feel comfortable and confident with my first drill.
Really helpful tutorial since I don’t use this tool much.
Thank you! This is absolutely what I needed. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for this information. Blessings!
Glad there are videos like this out there. Thanks for taking the time to post this!
Thank you , thank you, thank you, so much for this. To the point, easy to understand and reasonable time spent!
Thanks for something simple and understandable. I need all the help I can get as I teach myself how to do it myself. 👍🏼
Excellent question. I wouldnt recommend changing the speed of the drill during operation. Choose a speed before you decide to drill and stick with it...there are gears in there that can strip if forced to hard. Hope that helps
Thank you so much for this informative video. It really cleared a lot of things up for me. Esp the number settings. Once again thanks!
Thank you so much for this video as I thought my drill was broken. I couldn’t figure out how to insert the drill bit tightly until your video explaining the reverse settings etc. now I can finally install my ring cam and everything else that I’ve needed a drill for that I’ve put off. 💕

Good video! What speed would you recommend to drive into metal?
When I ran a #6 1-5/8 screw clean through a piece of pine, I knew that I had no clue how to properly set up my DeWalt. Now I know, and unfortunately, no excuses...😅😅😅
I had my boyfriend watch this video after he almost destroyed my drill driver, so he get's it now! LOL!

Been using a drill for 20 years. Never realized the 1 2 switch on top was speed adjustment. That wouldv'e been helpful info 15 projects ago.
Thanks
Thanks!
OMG THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER SEEING THIS VIDEO I WAS LIKE WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS, WHATS THAT MEAN LOL SO THANK YOU AGAIN #FIRSTTIMEDRILLUSER
Handy video, nice one. On a different note, can i use the batteries from my 18v DC100KA-GB combi drill ( the batteries are 1.3Ah ) on a 18v DC330N jigsaw?
Update!!! Chuck jaws were extremely rusty. Used WD-40, let it sit for awhile and now (I think) it is working like it's in good shape!!! I am thrilled!!!
Thank you!!! I was lost.

Thanks so much i was really curiouse about the clutch i thought my bosch was broken
Thank you
Very helpful, cheers Antlerdreamer
amazing
My drill bit is constantly slipping and sometimes gets stuck in the wall, any advice you can give would be appreciated.
Good video
you explained it like 90 % but it was iffy on the turning part where you hold the clutch
The instruction manual I received with my DeWalt Cordless drill says not to attach a drill bit in the manner that you demonstrated as you could do damage to the drill,(just saying) although I do it the same way you do
I appreciate this video but I can't get mine to work like yours.
The manual says 1 is high, 2 is low. Reviews all say the opposite. I've been using this Fri for five years, still can't tell any difference between the two.
@jonbetts8473
3 жыл бұрын
1 is high *torque* and low speed. 2 is low *torque* and high speed. 1 tends to be better for driving fasteners into hard woods or more precision, 2 tends to be better for drilling or speed work
I can't move the chuck jaws. Any advice?
I have a dewalt corded drywall screw gun. the clutch stops the bit from turning with the least bit or resistance. any ideas on how to repair. doesn't matter what the setting.
Cool thought my drill was bucked
What if I have it set on drill but it only runs for a second then stops?
The basics. Perfect. It's not common sense to everyone.

I had no idea how to work this and construct my mom's bed as shes yelling at me telling me idk shit. After watching 1 minute of this she is rushing and that noise starts but she thinks it's all good. In the end I did it but shes just so stubburn to acknowledge
Question...just got one of these, and being a curious dumbass, I tried to change the speed while I was running the drill, resulting in a pretty nasty clicking noise. The drill still seems to work fine, but should I be worried about long term damage?
Stupid question but can I use a craftsman drill bit in a dewalt drill?
