3:32 public domain: you can publish books with no copyright (let's say Shakespeare or The Bible). However, you need to add some additional value in order for Amazon to let you sell the book (illustrations, comments, etc.).

Hi Bethany Thank you for that clear steps on uploading a paperback. My first attempt to upload a paperback has not really been successful. KDP is still reviewing it because apparently the book cover does not fit the 5 by 8 size i wanted. My cover designer has tried his best to adjust it and I uploaded about 3 times but still it says the size does not fit. don't know what to do. Can you help please?

Hey so I’m looking into self publishing on KDP with some ideas I have for children’s books, but I was wondering, seeing as you have a few titles out, are you making enough income from them to live comfortably. I’m investing quite a bit on artists/illustrators for my story and hope I can see nice residuals coming in.

I do know it's best to always add page numbers before hand that's what you do when writing to keep track of pages but does kdp add page numbers too if you remove them thinking they do or is it best to keep your numbers on each page that you have when writing really wanna know if you will please help

would you recommend buying your own personal ISBN #?? And did you buy out the copy rights to your material?

Hi! It has it been a dream of mine to self publish my own children’s books for as long as I can remember. I have an iPad Pro and I love it! I am told by kdp that I can’t use my iPad to upload my illustrations to my cover and if I could find a way...my product would come out terrible! Is this true!! I really don’t care for windows and a Mac notebook would be so expensive. I am not the most technological person out there. And I have become so frustrated. I have been doing my illustrations on Procreate and my manuscript on the app pages. I would appreciate your help! Thanks!

You don't cover any formatting issues. Mine came out fine but my main headers are off to the right. all subheaders are where they should be. So annoyed!

HAHA Can you do a video on how to promote after release date and how frequent to post/promote and how to increase initial sales? I've been following you for a while but just looking for some extra advice since I released my debut poetry book yesterday ❤❤

If keywords are optional then why type in all that other nonsensical jargon?

Because "optional" doesn't mean the same thing as "skip this", and keywords are extremely valuable for reaching readers.
