How To Upkeep A Scenic Paradise | Inside Our Gardens By The Bay | Full Episode

What does it take to keep Singapore's Gardens by the Bay blooming and flourishing? Go behind the scenes and meet the people who play an integral part in keeping this national showpiece of garden artistry running smoothly.
Gardens by the Bay opened in 2012. Built on 101 hectares of prime land in the heart of Singapore's new downtown, it had been a bold but tough decision to establish the national garden and bring to life the vision of Singapore being a City in a Garden.
10 years on, the Gardens has rewarded that boldness, rising from barren reclaimed land to become one of the most talked about engineering and horticultural marvels in the world. It is now a major tourist destination, welcoming millions of visitors each year.

I've been to Singapore twice as of now and I fell in love with that country on my very first visit. The country is what I dreamed for my home country the Philippines. Singapore does not discriminate with anyone who wants to work when it comes to age, elders are welcome to work whenever they want. They also take so much importance with the greenies and has ACTUAL walkable areas and transportation is very smooth. The food is amazing as well. I will visit that country over and over again.

First visit in 2017, I wanted to go back into Malaysia to be somewhere that I didn't understand, as Singapore was kind of too much like home. Now, after visit number 5 and some 5 weeks spent there, I love it. I pine to go back again! I'd live there if I could!

Singapore is so lucky. I wish my country (across the causeway) has people who are enthusiastic to build green lungs rather than a concrete jungle and expand roads and highway infrastructure. Kids can't even walk out of their homes in the city because all roads are designed for cars.

I doubt lucky is the word. It was very much discipline and long term proper training of Civil Servants that get things going. Malaysia got all the natural endowment, after almost 60 years of independence, have it worked it out? Just like LKY said, when things don't work, he wanted to know why! And no BS excuses ever fooled him.

@@clementihammock7572 Malaysia did some good stuff too like Kepong FRIM is a rare man-made "natural forest" which it would never happen in Singapore.

The outdoor garden that covers a vast expense of land the walking paths could be covered with tall canopy of trees that would provide shades similar to walking in a forest. This would encourage visitors to visit the garden even in a hot afternoon.

I must agree that the gardens is a far sighted bio system that grapples with the reality of the need for conservation whilst the world continue to fuss and fight about economic power; both are mutually exclusive and we cannot peg a value to conservation for the sake of our posterity. As in the video, the challenge when working with plants is that they are silent and can’t tell you what’s wrong until they become sick and die, but by then, it will be a tad too late not?

John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Romans 10:9-10, 13 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved… 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Acts 16:31 31 …”Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved”… Mark 1:15 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:36 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. 1 John 5:11-13 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 4:10 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:15 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 1 Peter 2:24 24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” Hebrews 9:27-28 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
