This is the tutorial I was looking for. My adult son was trying out my granddaughters hoverboard and ate it right into the back wall of our kitchen island like yours. Huge crack in the back wall. I've been wanting to paint our cabinets so I'll start first with fixing the island like yours. Great inspiration and tips thank you.

Love this idea! We are looking to do this. Did you use a backer board on the inside of the cabinet to nail into or did you just nail into the cabinet as is? Also, how's the wood putty holding up?

Awesome! I just nailed into the cabinet...no backer board. Wood putty and everything still looks nice after over a year 🙌

What color of white did you used. ? I'm thinking about do that to the island

They're called brad nails. I prefer the 16-gauge (thickness size) as they don't bend as easily as the 18-gauge when hammering
