Yes, it took me a number of years to discover it was not designed to work with the Godin range of guitars. Sold mine a while ago and went back to the GR33, but now I’m dumping that in favour of a software solution called MIDI Guitar 2.

Thanks for the video. I bought a used one from a music stores rentals 2yrs old my ?is if I reload the firmware will that get rid of the user files so I can get rid of files I’ll never use. Thanking you in advance Harry

No, it shouldn’t delete all the patches stored in memory.

Darren I have had a GR 55 6 years now and have loved it. But for some reason the light no longer works on the preset screen. This is a concern to me as I cannot see to edit anything . Any suggestions?

Sell it… This is the exact reason why I sold all my gear. It was getting old and I was worried about things failing. Now I use software exclusively for my guitar effects. 🙄

@@DarrenLockMusic No I doubt I will do that . I like having the keys cause I dont play them, COSM for amps and guitars, strings and horns. But I just cleaned the inside and what a friggin mess it was in there. I will use a flashlight to help me see till I get to the States.. I have a Pro Guitar Rig 5 plus Ampire in my Studio One Pro 5 but don't use them much... If I was rich I would just buy a new one, LOL.... Thx anyway God bless and Merry Christmas

its because its already updated. he updated it but it never truly shows the firmware screen before update, so we get confused thinking ours didnt change at all. its already good lol
