Great job. The seperator tank is a good idea.

Thanks. You're one of the people that brought light to the fact I needed additional drainage. I'm so glade I added this drain.

Suspend a sheet of aluminum across the settling basin (1-2" below the surface as a dam) such that it separates the drain of the machine from the overflow, it'll keep any floating debris on the machine drain side so that it doesn't clog or go down the overflow into the sump pump.

O I like this much more than my filter idea to stop floating debris.

You were telling me about this, looks great. How do you know what height to put the drain before pouring cement? Is there a line that says when to stop?

I would put it at the same height as the other factory drains. level the concrete but when it still soft press this drain into it leaving about 3/16" above for the epoxy to fill.

this is the biggest bang for your buck. If you want something more advanced I would recomend the Syil X7, or the Tormach 1500MX.

Beck, might want to add a gravity filter on the top surface of the tote using some 200 mesh stainless screen

All the metal chips sink to the bottom of the tote and do not flow out the hole due to the slow velocity of the fluid in the tote. Now if I run plastic parts I'll for sure need some type of filter in the system.
