While it sucks that so much of the laptop needs to be disassembled to replace the keyboard, I greatly appreciate this video because I have at least five to do and just completed the first one with ease thanks to you video.

Yes, but that is an old piece of hardware from 2012. Apples and oranges.

@@CaptainHalodude While yes.. the ease of replacing the e5530 is so much easier. I dont know why they made it where you literally have to remove everything to get to the keyboard. Seems like it could have been thought out a bit better.

What’s the sticky plastic backing called? I heard what you called it in the video but can’t find it in a search. My plastic backing was shredded in some parts. Do I need to replace it?
