Will this update work to fix glitches? I have a 2015 Lincoln MKX and the ac turns off and on by itself as well as the backup camera shows the video upside down sometimes. We went ahead and replaced the touch screen recently thinking that would work but it didn’t. Still the same glitches. Thanks if you see this.

After attempting to install the update with the pre-loaded flash drive, I got an error BGMAP_ERR01 and that the install failed. My infotainment system hasn’t been working properly since. It won’t recognize navigation voice commands and phone call icons won’t work. The navigation maps version did change to NA 1 19. I’ve since talked to Sync Support and we’ve tried a reset but the infotainment system still fails. They said they’ll get back to me with more help. I’m wishing I’d didn’t do this and just went to the Ford dealer for the update.

I have a question. One of my cars is a 2011 Lincoln MKX. Can I add this update to my Sync system in that car ??

I think that would be an older sync 2 system, so no.

This won't work for a Lincoln that does not have navigation? (I have Sync 3 with out navigation but want to have navigation)

That won’t work to add navigation, no.

It’s only for certain years.

Honestly why would someone pay $ and waste at least 45 min running the car for the install when Google maps on your phone is free and updates constantly?

Completely agree with you. I don’t even understand why navigation is still an option. You can get the touch screen without it and run android auto or CarPlay for navigation. As you said, the maps are always up to date

As someone who operates an executive transportation company. Navigation is important because when the phone is connected to the vehicle it rings loud and makes me and the passengers jump. It’s nice to see the navigation in the heads up display and I don’t have to worry about the phone ringing through the vehicle. It’s definitely a personal preference thing.
