You can connect it to the USB port in the camera, it's on left side. Or else you can also insert the memory card into the laptop and simply copy the photos too.

My computer doesn’t have a memory card slot. Is there a way to plug the camera directly into my Mac computer and download the firmware onto the card/camera that way?

Did you drag and drop the files into the memory card or copy-pasted?

When I download the file and put it on the sd card, then put it in the camera. Once I get to firmware it doesn’t do anything other than show me the version I currently have.

Nothing will happen to your images. Your files will be intact. Be careful while deleting firmware files. 😊

Hello. First of all I apologize for any eventual error in English, as I only speak the native language of Brazil. Congratulations now on the video and also for helping Nikon users I updated the Firmware, before I had difficulties connecting to Nikon via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, however sometimes it worked. With this new update, it simply does not connect via snapbridge and the Wi-Fi connection does not appear on my phone, even if it is activated. Do you know of any solution for this case? Sometimes, the camera may not connect to the Snapbridge App. Did you keep it in direct contact with the mobile? If that happens I just transfer the photos to my laptop.

For me it would make it a lot easier as I am also a spotting plane sometimes when I am downloading the photos to the computer, it is the moment when an airplane passes by. I have a solution that may help for anyone struggling with the download and transfer of files! I know this may be a bit late, but i too was looking for an update for my camera. I had an old Sony camera cord that is compatible with the camera listed in the video. I plugged it into my camera, downloaded the file, I dragged the file from my downloads and right into the folder of the camera itself! And currently I am now up to date! Hopefully this helps!
