@2Cool4Games the firmware is on the camera. You can format the memory card after the firmware update is complete

@turboyz12 Yeah, it got pretty beat up when I used the camera in a cave with sharp rocks. It was pretty new then so it got worked in quickly

Tried to update to 2.1.2 (5d mark II) from 2.0.9 - formated, dragged the file - tried to update: started >black screen> starting firmware update program > black screen and thats it. Camera starts only if the battery is removed and put in again. Any ideas?

Do you have to update firmware sequentially? I have version 2.0.3 and I want to go to 2.1.1. Is that ok to do?
