This was so neat to see!! You could even make like a mosaic art piece with it too, if you accidentally broke enough colors. Loved the lamp idea.

I have been tumbling for years and just happened upon this video. Since you are only running this for 24 hours you can reuse the sludge and water for a couple more runs of your ceramic. You have barely worn any of the grit after 24 hrs. Normally takes 7 to 10 days to break down grit. Save you a bit of money on grit.

Hi, Mitch! Wow! Such a fantastic way to repurpose broken dishes. The end result was gorgeous. The tumbler did a great job on the broken pieces. I really enjoyed your wonderful explanation of this process and thank you for giving us some different options for disposing of the liquid used in the tumbler. Good to know it isn’t safe to go down the drain. I loved all your ideas for the glass. Supremely beautiful dear friend. Wonderful share. Blessings to you. Have a beautiful day.🥰🌻🍂🍁

Results were great! Thank you again…. FYI some dishes are “painted”. They come out blank! So I’m learning.. those i smooth with my dremel but I will do something with the now white pieces!!

It would work with handmade pottery too, right? I have been saving my broken handmade pottery for a friend who was interested in making mosaics, but she has enough for now. When I saw that broken pottery could be tumbled in a rock tumbler and wouldn't take as long as ordinary stones and rough gemstones, I started imagining that I'd found something else I could do with my "scraps."
