I'm facing the same problem too. Fortunately, I found a method. 1st, u hv to restrict the another Friend, that u added as a friend on Facebook. Then try to unrestrict him/her. (That solved to reappear the Unrestrict Button on the Restriced of Unfriended one.)

Just create a group search her/his name and click the lock and unlock if you click the lock it will show up.

Same situation..but then in down of his msg "the person is unavailable in messenger"I want to unrestrict him but there is no unrestrict in his msg...

lol punta lang po kayo sa people then contacts at top of messanger, sa right side makikita niyo po dun yung names, A-Z na gi message niyo. sabihin niyo thankyou😁😂

I figured it out. I added the person to a group chat with someone else and it gave me the option to remove them from restrict. Try that and let me know if it works.

guys i had issues like that before... but i just do this open messenger then tap the pencil icon at the right side of the top, then u can see the padlock at the top? and it says (new message_) then open that padlock then after that tap the people u wants to unrestricted and thats all you can see the unrestricted in their names

hello I suggest guys to download the old version of the messenger in this video and then uninstall the current version you have . I tried it it effective.
