As someone who pre-ordered one of these and also considered one for my BF as well this is actually very useful information to know as this very thought about what if we wanted to use the same Dim Card came to mind. Glad toknow that there is a away for both of us to use the same Dim's without needing to buy multiple copies of said Dim.

Although my bracelet was a different model so the factory menu was different and had to look elsewhere for instructions, this still gave me a the reassurance that the dim I bought online wasn’t a scam and just needed to be reset

That's cool!! My jaw is dropping to the person who found this method. However, I also have my own method, and really work. Follow this 1. Your screen mustn't have any digimon 2. Put dim card inside slowly but not fully (likely put it inside the socket just a half way or adjust the dim until the waiting is on the screen, maybe a lot of failed) And you can do this many times as you want

This doesn't actually work to prevent a lock from being written, because the firmware double checks everything when it comes to binding. You might get lucky and time your disconnects just right so it reads all 0xff for both times it reads the lock page so it doesn't see a lock, but the code will not continue to load the Dim unless it can see that it successfully wrote the new lock page.

Which firmware version does yours show? It's possible that one of the methods may still work!

I may have to try this. My Digivice V for some reason won't read my Angoramon DIM that I've had since release. It goes through the entire waiting screen, then just says failed. And that's the only DIM card it does it with.

Hey really really need you're help with this please...... ok so I'm trying to take my digimon out of the digimon app back to my digimon vital bracelet Ver.V but it keeps saying ERROR like it won't let me sync the digimon back to the bracelet?

I get a similar screen with my Ancient Warriors DiM all of a sudden. I've used it on my yellow bracelet and my v series before but now all of a sudden when I plug it into my v series it loads to three flashing dots and then says Failed. Is this something that would help fix that or does anyone have any suggestions? I literally just used it on the same bracelet a few months ago...

I'm not sure if it's related but, after doing your steps and I reached the final screen to insert the DiM, mine said it failed so I assumed this technique couldn't work with mine but then after a few minutes I tried inserting it over and over again (lol) and by the third try it could read my DiM again XD

Yes, it works with the -V- as well.

So does this mean I can use my dim on two vb?

Wait, this _permanently_ unlocks the DiM? Like if I do this to one of my DiMs I can then use it on my VBDM, Digivice V and all three Vital Heroes without having to unlock it again in between? I assumed unlocking it just deleted the link to the VB(s) it was already linked to and allowed you to link it to a new one/three.

I have been considering starting a collection, haveing the same watch with every digimon possible on it. Of course, it seemed impossible until I found this out. Thank you Edit: After looking at the document, I found out I am screwed. I have the Red Dinosaur Roar and if I understand it correctly, it will not give the factory settings. If you guys ever figure out a new way to cheese things, please do tell.

ive done both methods even a factory reset and my Mad Black Roar just instantly fails upon inserting it into both of my devices

Whelp. Still stuck at getting into firmware screen due to...no sound indicator, cause the solder isn't stick onto the speaker anymore, resolder and doesn't even have voice hmmm. Anyway, I noticed when turn on while pressing A+B, the screen lights up for about 2 sec, and pressing B 4x as fast as I could doesn't bring to the firmware screen.

There are currently no plans for a specifically American Vital Bracelet, the ones being sold to Americans are just the Japanese models, so any DiM card will absolutely work with them.

Thanks for your video it was amazing I have few things i would like to know if it's ok I saw the dim card work, but will it work properly in the last evolution or it can damage the dim card in the future? The second thing i wanted to ask, will i be able to battle my partner digimon or the dim card will recognize both as home devices And the last question is about the evolution, my sangomon digivolve by mistake to octmon and i didn't wanted to digivolve to octmon, but i have no idea how to de-digivolve to sangomon, do you know how? Nothing about this process will damage the DiM card, and it will not affect evolutions. If you wish to use the DiM with multiple devices, you will need to repeat this process every time you plug it in to the other device, only one device can be registered at a time. There is no way to de-evolve a Digimon, but you can raise a new one by inserting the DiM again.

Does this work with 21 0614?

Do you have to use the same Vital Bracelet that the DiM card is currently locked to? I'm always worried about breaking my Bravelt and losing my Ancient Warriors DiM.

Nope! Any Vital Bracelet will work, whether or not it was previously associated with that DiM

It’s digimon ghost game, and the sub for it is on crunchyroll I think

My Digidevice V got completely destroyed after falling to the ground. Now I don't know what to do because I have several dim cards that I used with the broken device. I assumed that if buy a new Device V these methods wouldn't work? Thanks the help.

The first batch of Digivice -V- will work with these methods, but if you buy a new one now it likely won't be in that batch, and can't be used to reset DiM cards. However, you can reuse DiM cards with up to three Digivice -V- units, so you shouldn't need to reset them if you have only used them once.

Still not working for me I can’t even go to that screen I’m following everything

So if I have the veemon special edition and have registered both the pulsemon and veemon dims to that VB, would my friends have to do this on their Digivice V's for me to share it with both of them?

They would not, the Digivice -V- does only locks you out of using a DiM if it has been used with more than three total devices

My heart rate calibration ALWAYS fails, when it used to work. I followed this guide and now it doesn't work when it did yesterday. I didnt stray at all from the guide. Anyone know what might have happened? It still tracks VB and i dont lose points while wearing it, but when i try to recalibrate, it always says failed.

Not sure what would cause that, and I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem when resetting a DiM, but I would recommend trying to factory reset to see if that will fix it. Just make sure to backup your Digimon in the app first.

My Question is if you have to do that to the second vb if your wife uses the infinite tides dim again?

Yes indeed, you have to repeat the process every time you want to put the DiM card into a Vital Bracelet other than the one it was most recently inserted into.

i just got one, and the method of turning it on to see the firmware version just turns it on? and doesnt show me any firmware version... the card im trying to get to work is brand new and directly from amazon just like my bracelet itself and the dim cards that are working so i have no idea what to do to get this one to work. any advice???

This means that your device isn't able to do this method, and if it was brand new you probably wouldn't need to anyway. You should try physically holding the dim card in while it's loading just in case it's a loose connection.

It will become locked to the next Vital Bracelet it is inserted into after this process, but you can repeat the steps to unlock it again

Luckily you won’t need this anymore with the digivice V coming out since can be used by up to three digivice Vs (or two if you already used the dim on an original VB)

wait really how so?

1. Once the dim card has been locked to a different bracelet, what does this mean for the first bracelet the dim was paired with? For example, will the dim fail in the original bracelet now? 2. I'm curious on how this dim card unlock method affects the app? Does this mean that one dim card can be registered to two Digimon VB lab accounts? This is all I can think of for questions.

1. You'll have to unlock again. Each Dim can only be tied to one VBDM at a time. 2. It does not. Each Dim of the same kind has identical data out of the factory. The app doesn't know anything about a physical Dim.

I had some info I want to share on the durability of the device. I might have just gotten lucky but the vb may be slightly more waterproof than is implied. My bracelet got caught on a door and flew right into the tub I was filling up for my son. I quickly freaked out and pulled it out (it was completely submerged) for maybe 5 seconds before I grabbed it. Quickly shut it off and let it sit for a few days. Opened it up for better airflow and to help drying a bit and voila! Still works perfectly (for now anyway lol) Random question tho: This was my first run through and my Boutmon should have evolved into Kazuchimon. I had all the prereq's with 6 minutes remaining (his mental was bad so maybe that's why?) but he didn't evolve at all and his timer reset. Any ideas as to why?

To be sure, did you have enough trophies as Boutmon alone? The app shows total trophies, but the watch itself shows the current number of trophies, which is the one to look at for evolution.
