Exactly! Don't try the same thing for hours. The only thing that bring to you it's frustation and so you are going to play not at your best. Sometimes it's better to quit and try again the next day. Anyway, it worked for me for me. Wish you good luck bro 💪🏼

Don't take any items, just rush to the boss and with Azazel it's easy. I hope you could get it.

Honestly skill issue took me max 2 hours of grinding to completely get it and i suck

I'm still waiting for the 10-second video, where the man just walks up to the grave and digs up the Forgotten One, with the title of the video: How to open the Forgotten One

Brutal unlock. First time I beat boss rush I made a stupid mistake and switched the full shovel out for krampuses head and just like that I'd wasted 30 minutes. Next day I got pyromaniac on the second floor and so then I could relax, take my time and get the unlock.

Good god, nothing will ever match the stress I felt while in the dark room. And relief when seeing the dirt patch after exploring the entire floor.

You made the best forgotten tutorial I have ever seen. Thank you(:

You know, I've tried this way too many times, and I just gave up because I gotta beat the whole entire game. While mom is stopping on you the whole time... It's really annoying, and my chances of getting a host hat or Pyromaniac are slim to none.. I also don't understand how you have that much time to stand still to think about anything because when I do this. There's no drop shadow she just instantly Stamps on me.

I'm sorry to hear that man. I know it's a pain in the ass. I remember my first time trying to unlock the forgotten: it was NOT that easy. I had to try a lot of times. I mean A LOT. Eventually I did it. The point is: give up for now and try again later. You'll be better at the game and so you'll have more chance to succeed. Wish you the best bro 💪 P.S. Reagarding mom's feet. One fun/funny thing i see when people try to unlock the forgotten is that they place the bomb in the middle of the room (tested myself) it can be anywhere in the room (well didnt fully test only like one bomb but it wasnt near the middle)

got so strong i was able to go to hush after getting the shovel then did 3 victory laps rngsus truly has blessed my run

I have tried around 400 times and I just can’t do it my farthest run is almost killing satan and I had three items which could save me in case things go south but I used 2 (ankh and fool card) but then I realized moms shovel can’t skip the satan fight(in my experience)

Gosh, i just unlocked Forgotten today and bruh, it's like the game wanted me to do so. Cricket's head, the inner eye, c section, mom's knife, technology, mega tears, all that i got one by one in a row

Fun fact, if you beat the boss in under a minute, you can get a special sacrifice reward that gives you 1 bomb.

Tutorial aside, that was a bomb as hell run

There is also the easy way, if you don'to want to del with moms foot you can just unlock spindown dice and get moms shovel that way

Just unlocked him, thanks for reminding me that there is a normal mode, I was torturing myself in hard mode without realizing it.

When i was trying to get the forgotten, i did not even unlock the negative. I was just praying to get a sacrifice room and tp to dark room like that. After i failed to do so 3 times i gave up and got negative first lol.

Died only once trying this, the first time being AT dark room, then the next run i got the wafer + book of revelations so i pretty much had infinite hp

I got my forgor easily by farming for ludo in my first treasure room as Azazel.

2 dumb questions 1. Which DLC is he part of? I have the switch version that cane wuth Afterbirth+, but I dont have Repentance 2. When you kill the lamb and get the option for a victory lap, can I unlock him then? Or does it have to be on the initial run through?

Bit late but 1. He came out for afterbirth, you should be able to get him 2. Achievements are disabled for victory laps, so i wouldn't risk it.

Is there any requirement to get the broken shovel? Whenever I beat the boss in under a minute with azazel, there’s no sound, and if I bomb the beginning room, it doesn’t reveal the shovel. I’m playing on switch

Yes, you have to hold the first piece

You can defeat the lamb and do a re run to keep all your items makes it 10x better

In my attempt at unlocking The Forgotten, I got holy mantle in a regular basement 2 or caves item room and a bunch of soul/black hearts. As I finally got him on the same run, I decided to just quit and get a feel of his playstyle.

Managed to get him along with clutching out the Apollyon Unlock at the same time. 🎉

I did it with hard mode and almost died getting to the place that needs the shovel (It took me 2 days)

Does that mean I’m a gaming god for doing it on hard mode?

Beat satan in sheol five times. Afterward you beat him while holding the negative Polaroid, once in the dark room you beat the lamb and after that run you can now unlock the forgotten

I kill the Boss under a Minute but i dont See the Shadow of the showel and i tried it with the bomb i dont become the showel im so angry

i did exactly the same, dug the dirt and waited 2 minutes in the room. the soul of forgotten disappeared completely, I could see the skull on the floor but i just didnt unlock the achievement. It just pisses me off man. I beat the mother multiple times with different characters but a strange door achievement just isnt unlocked. Im considering unstalling this game man.
