Thanks man.. This worked for me... It was a 4 digit password. (numbers only). I knew the last 2 numbers but couldn't remember the first two. I used masked attack. I set the number of digits to minimum 4 and maximum 4 as well. I then inserted my mask ??69 and it got the first 2 numbers for me.. I am grateful.

Does this only work for PDFs? I have a USB drive full of files that need to be decrypted, and I don't have the password.

I am trying to delete a password protected file that a hacker unfortunately gave me. Would you know if unencrypting it could release ransomware or virus? I want to delete right away after removing password protection but BitDefender won't let me scan or shred file. What is safest way to remove?

Rupal Sinha. Password method is changed it is your first four letters(caps) and dob year. Example. RUPA1993

This is fine for very short passwords. Once you need to crack a password of, say, eight characters with a mixture of upper and lower case, numbers and special characters, it will take anything from several months to several thousand years!

It is not working, It took 20 minutes processing time and displays no password found... Not useful, I have uninstalled it immediately..

The trial only lets you crack 4 lettered passwords. Any more than that and you have to pay for the full version

this is again the bogus stuff that will never really work once you see words or phrases like , attack method or brute force, drop what your doing and forget your cracking attempts efforts to get the pdf free, same for winrar files, go on to the next thing you had in mind on your pc!!
