Make sure you have the advanced option turned in (Preferences, Advanced , Enable All). Otherwise it won’t show up for many of us.

Had to find the SMPTE Lock option in the "Edit" section of the "right click".

I have the same problem on garage band helpp

I never faced this problem in my Logic, my samples were always by default unlocked. Maybe they introduced these in new versions of Logic. I use Logic 10.4

If your problem was that when you double click and nothing happens, just click ‘B’ go to ‘functions’ which is beside ‘edit’ and it should say unlock smpt at the bottom

I use logic only for music production (although I have recorded dialogues too)

I'm sorry, but It doesn't work. When I double click on the track, it opens the editor at the bottom of the screen and not the drop down menu

You need to right click the track (not double click). Then it should work. Check and let me know :)
