Im really enjoying the game so far but im having so much trouble to navigate it ! This video helped a lot I was not understanding what the hell shards were and I thought I had to buy all of the other character with money (which I thought was really freaking dumb because although I enjoy the game I don't want to spend my money to buy all of the characters.)

Hey great video. Any word on how to use the driver's licenses? I always get them but I don't understand if they get passively applied or if I'm sitting on tons of unused licenses because I can't find them lol

They should be like other upgrade parts. when they’re needed, they’ll show up as a required leveling component. It seems like they’re used for very high-level upgrades

Thank you! Some of this information is outdated now, but most of basics are still true. How many shards you have for a character can be seen in the collections menu in the same place you can upgrade and customize the racers. Click collections, then the collection the racer is from, then the racer you're looking for. It should tell you a ratio of how many shards you have compared to how many you need to unlock them or level them up

Go to “Collections”, pick the collection the racer is from, select the racer, then click “Edit Racer”

Literally the most convoluted upgrade system I’ve encountered in a very long time I’m helping my daughter and as a gamer for over 3 decades I’m at a loss on how to even unlock Mulan… I’ve done everything up to the point of Chapter 4 and need shards to even get her playable… simply too much for a 40 year old how do they expect a child to make sense of this

I don't think the game is actually aimed towards children! We've seen some Disney games recently aimed more towards teens and adults. If you've not done the Bloom in Adversity limited event, yet, that gives lots of shards to unlock Mulan!

I purchased the ultimate founder's pack 😅. I've also downloaded the mobile version off tap tap. Hopefully when it is released globally the console version can be synced with the mobile version. Hopefully...

Amazing! Oh yes. I haven’t heard anything about syncing with mobile, but I sync between Switch, PS4, and PC, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t also make it possible with mobile

You get golden pass credits with the founders packs. I don’t think they’ve said how many tokens it will cost after you use the credits

Do you have a disadvantage if you don't upgrade them? Meaning is there a huge pay 2 win factor in this game? It seems like it and that's a no go in a racing game where it should be fair. I think it's stupid that the characters skills are locked and not available from the start

You definitely should level up your characters; it can make a big difference. I've not spent any in-game currency on any leveling/progression, so you definitely don't need to pay to progress. Only one skill is locked, but it's definitely nice to have it!

Watched all and it’s still not getting in my head.. I think Mario Kart nailed it it by just selecting a character and picking what cc race you wanted to enter. I’ve just brought this game and still trying to figure all this out. Does your character level have any effect for online races? Or is it all equal?

It’s definitely a bit difficult to figure everything out. Pretty much, you just need to gather the materials by completing races/events. Racers will unlock automatically, but you level them up in “Edit Racer”. Your racer’s level will probably impact how well you do/progress in Ranked Multiplayer mode. But there’s also a Regulated Multiplayer mode that makes everyone the same level, so it’s all even

Yeah, the complexity is there because they wanted to hide a gacha p2w system in the details. :/ I got excited for a moment, but it really does look like someone that is willing to show up and spend a thousand dollars is just going to 'gamble' their way into the components they need... and they'll have to do it every season unless they want to risk being forced to buy universal boxes for components. Upkeeping a team of maxed out racers will be ridiculous at best.

I would love to get the pass but the only way I see to get the points to unlock it is the 100$ option in the shop. Am I missing something or are people actually dropping 100$ for this?

It should cost 990 tokens (the blue currency with the "S" on them) to unlock the golden pass. In my shop, you can get 1,150 tokens, which is more than enough, for $9.99 USD. There's another option for the golden pass that I think is 1,500 tokens, which would require a $19.99 token purchase, but that's only really helpful if you want to fast-track completing the pass. If you purchased a Founders Pack in early access, you may have Golden Pass Credits still available that you can use to unlock the pass for free

I’m just like gameloft didn’t have to go that hard on this game lol😂. Honestly it’s wild that it’s just early access cause it feels fully fleshed or at least way more fleshed out than dreamlight valley when it first hit early access.

Second has been Donald which has been my highest lvl character so far at lvl 15. He's so unique with his anger abilities and one where he lounges in a floatable raft while he drives. I love this game.

Winnie the Pooh entered the public domain last year, so now that a lot of other people's Winnie the Pooh stuff is coming out, I can't imagine Disney being bothered to make WtP based content. One of the reasons we are getting Steamboat Willie and certain other Disney characters this year, is because Steamboat Willie and some other Disney properties enter the public domain next year.

too bad levels do nothing,. i mean i'm a level 10 and almost lose against a level 2.. hopefully only in early access. i really don't like the catch up mechanics. some races are insane and max distance in the end is like 5-6 seconds so you probably never feel good like you owned the race (like mario kart)

I think it's a combination of the racer you pick, the racer's level, and personal skill. I do tend to notice a pretty substantial difference in how well I perform when I level up my racers

Mike Wasowski skill is seriously broken! He casts a hundred of doors throughout the whole track and you can't even evade them with a shield or a barrier it's so stupid! Also another thing I noticed is the rank races which are supposed to be on the same level as you but apparently not on this game. Racers from different levels from different MPRs are all mixed up through the system in which if you are a noob you end up racing with advance players and viceversa giving advanced players an advantage or newbies impossible races to win. It's horrible!

Mike definitely needs some balancing. But even though you’re with people of varying levels in ranked multiplayer, it takes all of that into account when it determines how many points you gain or lose. That’s why sometimes you can come in 7th or 8th and still gain points, or sometimes you can come in third and lose points

@@tinkerlily That is exactly my point! I come in 3rd and still lose points?? If I'm that experienced I shouldn't even be competing with those people in the first place. Let me put it like this, if I get 3rd or 4th I lose points and if I get 6th or 7th I still lose points and it's all because there's no balance in the rank system. All the ranks are mixed up in all the races and it makes the races completely unfair and uneven. Whether I lose 20pts or 80pts I still lose points. Wtf!! Good videos btw. You explain things pretty clear and simple.
