Had Irenes in the Auto-Recruit category for some reason however she is not. Here's how you get her - Speak to Toma in Marbule (Home World) and then spend the night. After defeating the sage on the S.S. Zelbess, Irenes will join the party in Nikki's dressing room.

You forgot about Harle, or the new release changed something. In the original release, you need to defeat the Final Boss via the Time Egg in NG+/Continue+ while she is still in your party. Even if this was changed for the remaster, it would have been nice to have said change pointed out in the video.

@@patrickdoyle9499 Yeah, the feeling is mutual. Square Enix just sold some of it's western IP's to a Swedish company for 300 million, which is pretty cheap. And they want to invest into blockchain, NFTs or something. Not sure what they are doing, but if a game like Genshin Impact can make billions, I don't know what the heck they're thinking. There are millions of fans who still want to play good JRPGs. They need to enter into that sort of market. Not necessary a gacha game but something that can redefine the genre. Square Enix just kept so hard to appeal to a Western market this past 2 decade they finally had the wake up call they needed. They collaborated with "Another Eden" so my guess is as good as yours.

Can't blame SE for wanting on the mobile gacha train bc if they ignore that market, they would be leaving so much money on the table, but I feel that SE can still develop great "traditional" games all the while appealing to the "casual"/impatient fans as well. Let's be real though, if SE really went in and made a proper sequel to Chrono Trigger, the internet would lose their fucking minds. It would most likely be the most anticipated game in history. Look at the fan made Chrono Break trailer and how many hearts that's broken. There's your proof right there SE.

If you want Harley you just use time egg beat game while she’s in your party save and continue+

You don't have to do everything in fort draconia for a second time, you can skip it by having Steena in your party later on.

If you wait until after you get Steena, she'll unlock all fort dragonia. It's later but if your lazy it's an easy way to get draggy.

Janis is in this game. He's just under a different name. Just like he changes his name in the first game, it's deeply hinted through Radical Dreamers and the fortune teller that a certain Guile is actually this character.

I'm currently going through my NG+ playthrough of Chrono Cross on Pierre's path and I just got Glenn, Macha, and Doc in my team, since I already beaten the game on Nikki's path and saved Kid.

Note: Mojo will not join until after the events at Cape Howl, and even then there is a chance his event won't trigger and you won't be able to get him. Unfortunate glitch.

I completely forgot about Mojo on my first playthrough of the remaster. I only just remembered after turning into Lynx. But by then it was too late. Once i was able to return to Another World Arni Village. The Fisherman dude simply wasn't interested in the shark tooth and I couldn't recruit Mojo in that playthrough. Got him this time in my second playthough right after Cape Howl. So its possible there is a time limit to recruit him before turning into Lynx.

IMHO Pierre is as if they gave “better over time” a body…he’s hot garbage when you first get him, doing 1 damage with every hit, but when you get the other “hero” gear(shield and sword) he becomes a powerhouse! Glenn is still better though…and being able to wield two of his ultimate weapons 🤯

Guile kind of falls into this category too with his limited elements (having one 1 equipable element for each element level for most of the first half of the game). But later he gets more elements for his stronger levels, plus he's got some strong magic.

should add a note about the party pooling into final run; Harle is time sensitive placements for when she can get imported over too. :) (i /think/ that Lynx can also be pooled, but i am unsure if that was true or no?)

No Lynx cannot be recruited as lynx and serge are allocated to the same slot

About that its in the Another World version only so you can get it after doing the Save Kid route but before even going to the Home World version of the area.

Glenn should’ve been a default character. I found out 10 years ago how to recruit him and I had the original ps1 chrono cross since 2001.

@@MrBGP006 I think Glenn isn't a default character mostly to give people incentive to pick the alternate route (granted it doesn't seem super obvious you can refuse to save kid. It also doesn't seem super obvious you can refuse Kid the first time she offers to join). Granted, I've heard people say that not recruiting Korcha is a nice bonus to getting Glenn...

Harle leaves your party after you start hunting the dragons. If you want to keep her (need to do this on a NG+) you need to use the Time Egg and beat the game before you lose her, then continue+ on the save file you create after.

There's a dimensional vortex thing inside Hydra Marsh, not sure which world (home maybe?), but the one from which you get out of Sprigg's dimension. From there you can use Kid's Amulet(I think? can't remember exactly) to cross back to Sprigg's house and then use Chrono Cross away to summon characters from your other save files.

@@Kairikey correct. Astral Amulet in HW Hydra marshes where you emerged with harle and sprigg as lynx, then once back in Sprigg's home there, you use the Chrono Cross item to import them across dimensions :)

You can bring back Harle back in your roster. You need to beat the game once, and continue in a new game+ up until you are Lynx in Sprigg's dimension. This should be if I remember right, right after you lose Serge's body and become Lynx for the first time in the story. Once you have at least Harle, Sprigg, Lynx you use the Time Egg item which you get it after you beat the game on a new game+, at any point while she is still in your party list and beat the boss. Doing so on the next new game+ once you get to the Temporal Vortex along with the Chrono Cross you use it there and Harle is unlocked. You have to do this each time to get her back in the part for each time you do a new game+ you play. Eventually, after three playthrough doing this you will have all characters unlocked. For instance I only do the Skelley quest once, after that I just use the chrono cross to bring him on my team roster.

Why can't I find Pierre? He's not in the workshop. Can't find Nikki either. Had a different conversation with the manager.

You have to make sure you viewed the cut scene with Kid where she asks you to look for a guide.

I'm not entirely sure. If you begin New Game+ The items transfer over but I'm not sure if the stats can be manipulated.

That's not possible without using codes or hacking into the game. NG+ carries everything over from a completed file, and there's no way you can have a completed file that will have spectral equipment but no stat growth. This isn't a Tales of... game that lets you pick and choose what you want to carry over.

Besides the Viper Manor Guide path ( Pick one and lose other 2) and Save or Not Save Kid. ( 2 different sets of recruitiment. You can get every character in the game. You'll play again to get other characters

I named my daughter Razzly.

The ONLY somewhat difficult battle in the ENTIRE game is the Dario fight. Even with no assists.

@@wagnaoboladefogo Miguel definitely has some nasty attacks that can OHKO most of your characters, which is part of what makes him tough on a first play through. I remember the first time I fought him I had to put in a bunch of Heal Alls and spread my revives to each party member before I stood a chance.

You need to use the Time Egg on a NG+ to beat the game while she is in your party (pretty much from when you are Lynx until before you start dragon hunting), then save that file and Continue+ on it. THEN use the Chrono Cross in Sprigg's house.

It doesn't so you must start a 2nd NG+ run (3rd run) in order to use her FINAL dungeon/bosses only.

@@LC356 You have to have a completed save file with her in it to carry her over with CC. To do so you need to beat the game while she is in your party and make a file, and then Continue+ or NG+ on that file.

However a MINIMAL 16 party members run IS still possible ie required only party members but on that run ONLY Serge Kid and your Chosen Viper Manor guide NOT Pierre that would be the only party members you would have before you switch control of Lynx.

Even at star lv 99 Pierre sucks so for a required ONLY 16 party members run ONLY use the other but that run requires to DO the Save KID route the don't Save Kid route FORCES Doc/Glenn to BOTH join the party the Save Kid route if you KILL the Hydra boss first you'll NEVER have Razzly join the party or EVER fight the Pentapus BOSS at all.

No info about Harley shes the hardest to get lol

I like this game. But man, why do games fo that thing when you want to fully complete a game, you have to complete it multiple times? This happen in final fantasy type 0 where you have to play the games multiple times just to understand the story, get the best weapon for each characters, and complete the codex.

@@dellasevilla what? With the exact same story and the exact same mechanic and also with exact same enemies but with different character skin that play somewhat pretty similar with any other characters we had?

You mention three major branching paths, but I count only two. Also wanted to point out that Macha is a surprisingly strong character. I pretty much always choose to save Kid, but there is no denying that you get better characters by not saving her. Definitely disappointed by crummy characters that take effort to acquire, like Skelly. Why would the devs do that - some kind of troll? In general, one criticism I have of this game is that certain characters are just way worse than others, making them less fun to play with.

They dropped the ball on this edition they at the very least could have added a few characters and new areas.

Must have been your console or updates at the time. If you are in the preview program, you will have to leave it or change the preview group to one of the previous groups. For example, if you are in Alpha-Skip-Ahead, you can return to any of the groups before it. If you are in Beta, you would want to go to Delta or Omega.

@@Matthew6418 I know what you are talking about, and it changes nothing about my comment. I am an ambassador and troubleshoot for other Xbox users through community support. This exact problem affected my console, and this is the process to fix it. If you are not a Preview Program member, then your next option would be to install a previous GP update to a flash drive and roll your console back to that update while your console is offline. If you don't want to do it, that's fine. If you try both and neither work, you probably still have a corrupted system file and need a full factory reset. I assure you that since this is not a typically widespread problem, it is NOT an issue that can be fixed by Microsoft alone. An official Xbox support representative will tell you the same thing, and if you're unwilling to do any of the troubleshooting steps, then the fault lies with you. I don't know what else to tell you. Also, the problem isn't widespread just because hundreds of people experience it.
