There is a law that says, you need a home to live (have a home is a primary necessity). The first home is your primary home that you need to live, the tax is low the minimum, if you have a second home you dont need that home (because you only need one home to have shelter) it is considered by the law not a primary necessity the second home, they think is a holiday home and you need to pay the full tax...

I just heard that the short term rentals are not tax advantageous if you later decide to sell the property. I do not have any details but will search further. Nice informative videos. 👍

Specific to Lisbon, there are some districts that ban short-term rentals altogether. I do not know the taxes when selling a short-term property. I will have to research as well.

If you are around Lisbon, Cascais and Costa da Caparica are nice beaches. If you go to the Algarve, Southern Portugal is loaded with excellent beaches.
How much is the cost of 2 bed room in Lisbon suburban ?

It could be anywhere from 500 to 2,000 Euros, depending on location and amenities.
