I used just type how I started with. Eventually, I hit 130 wpm but this was for only a few words. Now with 10 fingers, I can reach 150 with any words and capitals and punctuations.

As a gamer, I don’t type correctly but it type fast and more inaccurately but tires fine for me

I dont touch type cuz I most likely misplace a finger on a different letter and + it’s quite difficult to get used to. I would personally recommend just putting your left and right hands to the end of the keyboard and press the keys closest to your fingers

@@textrixathat’s pretty good, i’ve been doing it for a few years so I went from like 20 to 80wpm, I noticed my finger placements were a little bit wrong so i’m practicing to fix that. The wrong finger placements were: pressing C with left index finger, pressing X with left middle finger, pressing Z with left ring finger, pressing P with right ring finger.

This was required in my school… you took typing quizzes starting in like 3rd grade, and if you didn’t have a certain WPM and accuracy you had to take a 1 semester typing class to bring it up

1 year of monkeytype and regained interest and motivation to improve because of buying a mechanical keyboard for the first time bumped me from 70 to 120 words per minute

I don't use this trick because I use a mouse and I often have to grab other stuff but some tips I could recommend is try for your left hand to be on the left side and your right and to be on the right side, but your left hand might go on right side if you are using your mouse. Another tip is be a gamer

I literally memorised every single key location after my 6 years of gaming career of trash talking in the chat.

holy crap this is the most relatable comment ive come across on youtube. i literally typed stories all day in class on my school chromebook back in elementary! my brain doesnt even know the keyboard and where each letter is, it's just pure muscle memory

I just have my own damn style to touch typing that gets me by faster than pretty much anyone I know who tried to learn this

Back when I was still in school, our computer class consisted mainly off learning typing and windows xp. For the typing part we had bright orange form fitting silicon covers that went over our keyboard so even if you looked down you couldn't see the keys. Very effective because eventually you just stopped looking down all together and just started learning where the keys were by feel alone. I haven't done this in forever but I'm very tempted to see if I can find one of those covers again just for practicing.

I'm visually impaired so I can't really see an average keyboard so I learned how to do this when I had free time at school. I heard the robot voice goimg "fff jjj" so much it still haunts me. 😂😂

Yes, I agree, I play games, and when I lost, I raged and typed so fast my keyboard broke. I type so fast when I rage right now, I am not raging, but I am typing this in 10 sec without looking at my keyboard. I don't mess up even without looking at my keyboard. Dude, I already have to do typing lessons in class no way I am doing them out of class. Also I never use the way it says in typing lessons, I can get up to like 48wmp with the way I type so it’s good enough for me.

To be honest I typed on a keyboard so much while looking at it that I just gained muscle memory and still can't entirely do it without looking sometimes to adjust my hands.

how fast to be exact? Just curious. I used to type just in anyway for years, I got it to around 50wpm top speed with it, I thought it was awesome. But that changed when I learnt touch typing. I got from 10wpm to 100wpm in only last 10 months. It's preety awesome now to type preety fast without thinking about the keyboard as a programmer.

I don't use this method but can still type pretty fast without looking. I just naturally developed my own method over the pandemic since we used our school chromebooks a lot.😊

I legit typed all my life and I type at like 130-144 wpm. Still improving.

All I did to remember the placement of the keys in the keyboard is playing games, I played and played games till I wanna stop and after a while I just memorized the keyboard without even knowing.

In the Netherlands we have specific typing lessons in primary school so when you're 10 in the Netherlands you can also do this

When I try to write like this my teacher is like:”that will just make you make more mistakes🙄”😭

I learned during the peak of COVID, it’s a useful skill that’s definitely worth learning (I can get like 120 wpm now). You’ll finish your work a lot easier

I learned it but never used it, I didn't need to type until I got my laptop then slowly I learned as long as I know what I have to say but if I'm trying to type random letters like in those typing games I'm useless

Due to having to use online learning during the pandemic, my muscle memory memorized every single key on the keyboard and as a result I can type with the keys covered

I like using typing club to type faster. plus they give you mini games to keep you motivated

usually, when I type my essay slowly is not because I can't type fast, I just don't know what to write

Typing Club lowkey goes kinda hard

I used this to quickly trash talk in games

What I do is move my hands in any way thats not uncomfortable and just.... Type. It works wonders compared to typing the "correct" way. However, i still take forever on typing essays, paragraphs, sentences, etcetera because I never know what to write.

I was required to learn this in school. If you started pecking the keyboard they would make you take extra lessons during lunch and recess lmao
