When I was younger I didn't even know how to tie a necktie... now I know at least 15 ways to do it, plus a way to turn it into a large, fancy-looking bow tie. Thanks Mr. Linwood, your creativity with ties is something I really admire.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and fashion and music come full circle. Its great to see people wearing a jacket and tie, its very classy indeed.

If you watch an old movie, all the guys wore a coat and tie, and women wore nice suits and dresses. The man wearing the nice clothes will likely get the good job and the hot babes too.

Ive seen lots of videos on how to make a neck tie into a bow tie and this video is by far the best!

Hi, Have just seen your video and you put a new slant on the way that we wear our ties. You actually gave a measurement ie 4th button. Brilliant! I have a great many ties and they can only be worn once in the old way but NOW! I can wear my ties more often as Bow Ties. Do you do a Video on the Bow Tie, they all show you how to adjust but not how to measure it to fit. There are a great many holes but no sizing. Keep up the good work.

This works great for me because I have a large neck and regular bowties usually do not fit very well , so the necktie bow tie works for me.

Great idea. I wondered why some bow ties have a point on one end and I would not be surprised if this method was the geneses of that style. I have not worn the knot yet but I am wondering if you can leave the small end dangling rather than tucking it in.

Im sure you could, but it would be easy to undo the tie by mistake if you did that. All it would take is a light tug on the thin end. Thanks for watching!

Did your version of this knot. I noticed it will shorten the time when you tuck the pointed in behind the tie in that extra loop before you start the process. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the tutorial! As weird sounds, I tie my boyfriend's tie every morning for work (because he's too lazy to learn how to tie a tie) Also, I enjoy altering looks! This is perfect for him, because he's very tall and usually I tie the tie around my neck then slip it off and hand it to him! The problem with that, is that I'm 13" shorter than him and usually the ties end up looking awkwardly short on him. With this method, I don't have to worry about the length of the tie! ( ^_^)/

You're quite welcome! How tall is he? If he's closer to 6ft, or has a thicker neck, he may benefit from purchasing longer ties for taller men. There is a website called www.longtiestore.com that has ties that are nearly a foot longer than standard ties. They allow taller men to have appropriate length ties, and to do more intricate knots with ease! Thanks so much for watching my videos!

I got this tie over 10 years ago from an urban wear store for less than $10! Thank you! Unfortunately I'm unsure of how you could get it now. The brand of the tie is "Steven Land" though. I hope that helps!
