I’m about to start breeding for better jet, frost and shadows. Glad I found this

Mate, thanks for this... Watched this yesterday, did what you did, even the placebo (which really helps, btw)... And I've now got a perfect male and female, after a few hours this evening. Plus a spare, I can max out and cause mayhem with!

Just as a follow up to the placebo... I got a female with Whisp from the boss, first. With the male, I deselected the second ability and swapped the active to that crappy neutral 25dmg ability you get. The reason being (and following on your logic), thinking it would be more likely to give the offspring the ability that matches it's main element type. Which it does, or it did for me, because it took maybe a handfull of eggs to get a male and female with the Whisp ability. So, i'm not saying 'can confirm' but... #forscience

I've been breeding my perfect shadow beak two few days ago and I can confirm the best way is to get a perfect beak without the ability first (it has to be female) then have it breed with victor but as soon as you get one male shadowbeak with the ability and no worthlless passives stop banging victor and use the new shadowbeak with the ability instead. Victor's high ability count and astonishing 0 IVs across the board just make him a terrible lay so swap him out asap for new male shadowbeaks to keep crossbreeding with your female perfect one. You will get closer to the perfect shadowbeak this way and can keep swapping the male shadowbeak out with any partial success breeds (has skill and better IVs than the previous male one) until you finally hit the one that got the skill and inherited all the stats from your inital perfect shadowbeak. Now getting that skill to a perfect frostallion noct is where my real struggle has been the past days...

can you transfer divine disaster to frost noct? I have one with dark whisp but if you can't have dark whisp and divine disaster I don't think frost noct is worth it for the damage chasers

What a mission I ended up getting one of each you still have to grind it out to get everything right thanks for the rundown video got the high DPS one and a regular version from 6 breeding pens I lost count how many cakes but these shadow beaks in these viewing cages are lagging out my game something chronic time to infuse

I think its less time consuming if you pair the towerbeak with a normal shadowbeak, and when you have a shadowbeak with decent IVs and dark whisp, pair it with a high IVs shadowbeak with dark whisps. Then pair that shadowbeak with the one you made for the traits.

Does anyone know if you already have the boss are the active skills still transferable via breeding? Does breeding still work as it has?

Look like the element dmg passive boost always cause better dmg than the lucky or holigan passive. . I just saw somewhere that if using the element skill with element passive and right element of the pal, the dmg is increase 40% total (element passive + right pal element).

You need to go all in on damage , then the element multiplies that by a lot . If you go with Burly body or Swift , or dont have Legend and 20% element yet , then its not really worth it

Yo I’ve gone through this exact same story the past few days.. I’ve also been breeding the perfect Shadowbeak.. managed to finally get the roll I was looking for.. in fact I got 2 god rolls back to back from the same parents.. surprisingly one male & one female perfect Shadowbeak.. I’ve managed to get both of them (for no reason) up to Star Level 5 & still have 186 Shadowbeak left over still… wondering if to breed another Shadowbeak or just sell the excess ones… Also I’m convinced if you remove the other Active Skills & just leave Dark Whisp alone & it seems to transfer much more often 👍🏼

You don't know you can breed the Towerboss Victor & Shadowbeak with a Shadowbeak to get a Shadowbeak with that skill? Now you do!

question do you need the tower boss or can you get a regular shadow beak through breeding to do the same damage but maybe just later on in the game? i guess my concern is that they may patch out catching tower bosses so I'm wondering if you can get the same result without a tower boss shadow beak if that makes sense?

Dark Wisp skill is exclusive to the Tower Boss, the exploit is needed to be able to breed it down

There is a better chance to get Dark whisp if you put both male and female to breeding at Lv 1 so the skill pool is basically at 1-3 skills :)

Can somone check if dark whisp is still transfereable? AFAIK in the new patch you can no longer catch the tower boss and most exclusive skills cant be transfered and you you could tranfer those skills. Can anyone check if Dark whisp and Multicutter can still be transfered if u already have the bosses?

Good vid, very informative. I’ll be using necromus and menasting for sure. One question I have is HOW DO YOU DO THE INSTANT INCUBATION???? I’m sitting here like a fool holding the button and I can’t find any instructions on how to change it. I changed the game settings so I don’t have to wait for the actual incubation, but I still have to hold the button once the egg is in. Pls help

Closest I’ve gotten is a 4/4 trait with whisp, and 99/81/99 IV’s but one of the parents has 100 attack and I will continue until I get those perfect iv’s. Currently 850 eggs in

Just got mine today with a 100% atk IV… literally melts bosses.

Dudeee, can anyone tell me why my Victor and Shadowbeak doesn't have the Dark Whisp skill? Instead, he has an ice and neutral skill. I don't know why he has an ice skill and doesn't have a dark skill. Also, after I caught it, it doesn't have any passive skills.

Itll always have dark whisp. U gotta change the attack moves and open up its attack moves list n itll be there.

do you really use berries as the auto eat food? the hunger per pound is horrible compared to the jam filled buns, which are literally just as easy to farm.

no, normally I use omelets for 10% dmg at all times but I wasn't sure if it was overriding the 20% attack buff from the loco moco food so I used berries for a bit

hoocrates increase damage from dark type so you can stack 4 of them to increase the shadowbeak damage

^ what that guy said. & if you level up those Hoocrates, each level adds 10% to your dark pals dmg, so each Hoocrate can give 50% with that alone. Not to mention adding Vanguard on each of them

4x- 4* Hoocrates + 4* Shadowbeak with the right passives melts stuff. With or without the boss abilities. The boss abilities just makes it stupid easy to melt stuff.

I'm going to have to try selecting just the skill or skills I want but I think the rng is just bad.

Do all Shadowbeaks learn divine disaster? Is dark whisp the only spell that is only on the shadowbeak from Victor?

Me personally I prefer Frostallion Noct. I do Shadowbeak Tower with Shadowbeak to get Dark Whisk and Divine Disaster on a single Shadowbeak, then try to pass it to a Helzypher via Jormuntide, and meanwhile pass Necromus's Lord of the Underworld trait to a Helzypher as well by breeding it with a Pyrin Noct. Then I try to breed the helzypher with the moves with Frostallion to a Frost Noct, and try to get Lord of the Underworld and Legend on their too then try to go for getting Musclehead and Ferocious onto Frost Nocts. Then I try to get all 4 traits and both moves onto a single Frost Noct. I'm pretty close right now but I'm still missing Musclehead.

here is a fun experiment for you: do you think you can breed Divine and/or Wisp over to a Frost Noct? you can take your finished beak and cross it with a Jorm to get a helzepher. enjoy.

I put dark whisp on frost noct but divine disaster is too good to pass up. I don't believe you can pass both so shadowbeak is peak rn. frost noct sits at 2072 attack with pal souls invested shadowbeak sits at 1815 attack with pal souls invested but not having divine disaster on frost noct is a massive damage loss

on console you have to use a website, I linked one in the description. on pc you can use a mod, I think the one I'm using is linked in the description aswell (they weren't but now they are)

I just gave him hooligan instead of lord of the underworld. That was too much of a hassle.

My victor shadowbeak isn't getting wisp

If anyone reads this it's because you probably have to manually change their skills. They have a lot but the default wasn't showing shadow wisp. I thought it was maybe because I was only lvl 47 and wasn't level 50 yet. So I cheesed it to 50 by turning xp way up because I didn't want to miss out before the patch. Completely unnecessary:-(

You cannot capture the boss anymore the infantry do not deal damage to the boss :L

could return to main menu instead of respawn
