Worked great! Now who knows how to get rid of the reverse beeping? I saw a form where it was a very similar procedure except when I tried it it wasn't effective.

So glad you told us step 1. I thought I could disable it from outside the car.

Would this work to turn my door senor beeping noise off?

Didn't work in my 2015 Highlander XLE AWD V6 because the readout does not come back to odometer, it has a message where the odometer is stating IGNITION ON. This messes things up at step 7 because I cannot turn the IGNITION ON readout off without hitting the odometer button which messes up this process. Any idea on how to work around this on a 2015 Highlander?

Yes, you need a scanner, on newer models you need a scanner, happen on my lx 570 .

hi 5th gen owner here you cannot disable without dealer computer. I just bought a seat belt extension and now it wont beep but I can still use my seatbelt

Anyone know how to disable the first 5 beeps when turning on? Sometimes I put seatbelt on after I start and sometimes your just moving the car a small distance and don't need those initial 5 beep reminders.

Buckle the seatbelt next time

Just picked up my 2019 Corolla SX and the beeping from the Reversing Camera is counter productive as I can't concentrate. I don't know why it's the default. Apparently the dealership can only change it. I also have reverse sensors so I don't know why there isn't just a single beep to show that the camera is engaged.

08 Corolla - I couldn't get it to work until I read comment below to turn ignition ON/OFF 3x. I did that in both places and it worked! I then cut a 3/4" piece of blue painters tape to cover the flashing seatbelt light. I'll get used to the blue and I won't have to watch the flashing light.

You can also stop the beeping by installing dummy seatbelt. It works but not recommended because you can’t wear a seatbelt

I finally broke down & bought the Carista OBD adapter off Amazon. You down load an app on your phone (use free 1 week trial) and shut it off. I’ve heard that’s the only way.

Planned this May to go to Greece, there's a popular JDM engine shop that sell my Corolla T sport engine but now im sure because of corona virus I wont be able to go there so its chances to fix my Toyota are small. :/
