I’ve tried multiple times and my layer will just duplicate without the words, only the photo. Also it causes my app to crash…

Hmm. Try making a text layer and a layer that is filled red. Type a word. Tap the text layer and hit select. Hide the text layer. Go to the red layer and 3 finger swipe down and tap cut & paste. You should have a red word on a new layer above. Do the same with a photo instead of a red layer 👍🏾

Same thing is happening to me. I’ve been trying for 30 minutes and it keeps crashing

When I click select on the text layer then try to click the image to cut it deselect the text 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😩 any ideas on what could be wrong?

Hey! Hmm.. Tap the text layer, and hit select. Once the text is selected, tap the image layer (you can tap any layer or make a new layer, it shouldn't deselect unless you tap the screen) try just tapping the image layer so that layer is now highlighted!

@@merakiclients1969 I'm not sure actually.. If you can, explain your scenario so I know the steps you're doing. You tap your text layer and hit "select" then open the layer menu again and tap on your image layer (so it's blue).. It just deselect the text??

The same thing happened to me but I kept creating new artworks and trying again and eventually, it works

I’ve tried this for 3 days and it just makes the app freeze or crash

Check out my recent video, it may be more clear! I decided to do that tutorial again, but more simple 👍🏾

Tried it over and over again and doesn’t work. Can’t even imagine what I’m doing wrong. :(

If possible, record a video of what goes wrong and post it here:Dave's FB Procreate Group: facebook.com/groups/ProcreateDrawingTutorials/?ref=share , we'll figure it out 👍🏾 it could just be you have a certain selection in your transform or selection tool

I’m having the same problem as everyone else. Super frustrating.

It definitely works! You most likely have something selected or an option chosen in your selection menu!

The mouth noises will drive you nuts
