@@xixijames If you do not have a teacher who can tune it for you, make the fine tuner looser and then very slowly turn the peg away from you. I recommend you do this and hold the instrument facing towards you and prop the violin on your legs/lap. Pluck the string with one hand to check the pitch, and use one hand to tune. Make sure you are also pushing the peg in the hole a little hard while turning it away to make it tight. Do this until it's relatively close to the right pitch and still making sure that you pushed the peg in enough so that it doesnt undo. Once you do that you can use the fine tuners to make it sound better. Also turn the pegs very slowly because they change the pitch very quickly. You wouldn’t want to snap a string. Still you should probably search up a KZread video on how to do it if you aren't too sure.

@@krisvyxx thank you for your time...I'll keep it in My mind I am very new to violin and I have some worries about snaping a string cuz I once did(i had to put a new one and now it's a little bit down like very little u can't even notice it easily is it because of its tight? It was the d string)...so I am practicing tuning the violin and some how it's helping with my fear but I can't get a teacher so I want to know if I can improve my skills through internet and do u recommend any chanel or sum tips?thank you🤍

It could be that the string is way too high or way too low. Perhaps it's easier at this point to use the tuning notes, so you can compare the sound and figure it out. Also check out all the tips and tricks on that page.

wait, what does it do if you turn the fine tuner left. and what happens when you turn it right? if you turn it left does it get lower or higher??? like what does it do??

So sorry to hear that! Did you read the instructions on the page? And perhaps used the tuning notes instead of the tuner itself? It could be that you were trying to tune it an octave to high for example.

@@violinlounge just my normal mobile phone, a Huawei P30 Pro - it seemed to work well initially, then refused to accept screen presses (it seemed), then might have done what you wanted 2-3 seconds later< by which point you pressed something else or it cancelled the original input :-}
