📝 ABOUT THIS VIDEO
If you make hip-hop or pop music, chances are that you use 808s, and regardless of your experience level, I'm sure that at some point or another, you have heard someone say that your 808s need to be in tune. But what does that mean exactly, why is it important, and how do you do it?
In a nutshell, 808 samples are single file audio waves that come pre-tuned to a specific note, and our job is to make sure that that the 808 can be played in different notes so we can create a bassline and that those notes fall within the scale of our composition.
808 tuning sounds a lot harder than it what is, but the process is actually quite simple, and if you use Studio One, then today I want to show you how to do it quickly.
In this week's video, you will learn:
-What 808 tuning is, and why it's crucial for your productions
-How to quickly tune any 808 sample in Studio One
-Things to look out for when tuning your 808

Yes. I was tuning them by adjusting the tune knob the amount of semitones that was off by with the tuner plugin. Your way is much easier. Doing it like this from now on.
I think that's when learning scales come in.. I am going to use this method..but if is out of tune you can figure what scale it's in to continue with your beat process to cut down time

Thanks for your purchase! And yea no worries I'll be posting an update for all template users soon!
Huh. Ya know, that A and that G info may be useful according to your chord/scale. That variance in the sub kick may really work if that A and G AND the F# matches the notes used in the rest of the song. Maybe? It might play to the psychoacoustic nature of the song.
Hello bro haw to change the 440hz to 432 hz in studio one
Does this work for other vst sounds such a bass or piano? Thanks for the tutorials. Great channel.

In those cases you don’t need to tune because VST sounds like pianos are by default spread across the keyboard and placed on the appropriate note!
Hi brother, thanks for your generous tutorials, I was wondering if you could recommend a Pro Mastering Engineer who specialises in the genre of RnB with a reasonable price please?
