Do you use a Digital Caliper to check the finished sizes of the tires?

Once I have them true to my liking I leave the adjustment screw in place and flip the axle. This way they are, or should be the same OD. Yes, I do double check them with Digital calipers.

I'd like to see a before n after result what time gain did you achieve? It must be measurable

If you are putting silicone or urethane tires on aluminum wheels, the times won't be that different. The problem is with Carrera. Their rear axles are rarely perfect. They seem to get one mounted correctly but the other side is usually crooked. So if you true up the plastic wheels a little, you can fix the rest through the truing process. If you take a Carrera D124 car out of the box and slap on silly's or urethane tires, you will surely see improvement. I can't give you a time difference because every axle is different. At the end of the day, it's more than worth it.

Why do you only true one tire at a time? This is the first time I've seen a tire truing machine do it one at a time. Quite a lengthy process. Also using Gorilla glue isn't that overkill? Whenever I've used Gorilla glue I've had to clamp the parts (because it swells due to the chemical makeup) also what do you do when tire has to be replaced? I'm sure the glue pretty much bonds the tire to wheel or there's no reusing wheel (not w/o a lot of work). Actually I've never glued tires, just a tiny dab of dish washing soap works for me if the tire isn't tight on wheel. When the soap dries tire is go to go. This must be the process for professionals I just mainly race at home and have never spent more than 5-10 minutes truing tires "by hand" while on chassis car, never used such a machine, maybe urethane tires are more difficult to true? I do like the oscillating motion of your truing machine though, what motor do you use for that? Looks like it runs at 15rpm.

What thick glue did you use to fill the little openings on the carrera rims to round it out?

No, I use 80 grit drywall mesh for sanding silicone.

i'm in the hobby now for about a year. id love to et my hands on this type of model tire truer. but the only ones i can find are the hudy ( i dont realy like hudy) anyone has some tip for me on were this sort is available?
