Hi, My stove is about 11 years old. I have made certian that it has been thoroughly cleaned. Initially the stove would not fire up and get going. Based on the Circuit Board blinking on the #3 position after going into safe mode and reviewing the owners manual troubleshooting, I replaced the POF Switch and while I was there, replaced the High Limit Switch. The stove Now Starts and runs for about 15 minutes which it wasnt doing prior to the switches being replaced, and then the pellets started dropping. One thing I have noiticed is that the Convection Fan does not seem to be kicking in as it used too. I remembered that I used to hear both the combustion and convection fan both come on for awhile before one (I assume the convection) fan would shut off for a period of time. I believe the convection fan does work as It will turn on IF I push in on the red reset button on the High Limit Switch and stop upon release of the the reset button. I can also visually confirm that the combustion fan is running upon the stove running. Based on the information that I am able to provide, do you have any idea of what the issue may be? I was going to replace the Fan unit, but as I said it does turn on when I push the reset button which tells me that its getting power and does run. Not sure if it would act any different if I run power directly to the motor leads. Is there a relay or switch which causes it to come on that I have missed? Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How to install an auger motor on a 6041 us stove pellet stove

hi i have a question , after paying a company to come service and clean my pellet stove it was working great but now after approx 12 hours the ash is solidifying and burn box is filling up with ash and pellets keep coming out is there something i can do so i don't have to have fire outside the burn box and having to turn it off when all of this goes down to let it cool clean it again before using it again i do because i'm scared an actual fire might somehow start burning my house down , thx , they did say a T something outside should be replaced soon

Hello, I have an American harvest pellet stove model 6039. When I go to setting four and five the pellet tray or the pellets fall into seem to get overloaded. Of course this causes the fire to go out. Something just doesn’t seem right. Your thoughts please

Hello, I have a pelpro stove I'm getting auger light flashing every third cycle . I've replaced the exhaust motor was bad replaced the vacuum switch looking for the next thing to check? Auger seems to work fine. Also had a thorough cleaning. Stove runs doesn't seem like exhaust motor hits high speed?

I don't know that stove very well but a "flashing auger light" sound like it could be an error code. I would look up in the manual what that error code is. If you can find that and want more help email me at ebay@jasonRmunson.com

@@JASONRICHARDMunson Thanks Jason I believe i have figured it out there was a bad snap switch but also I haven't had the option to exhaust my stove straight out the wall like most I have to pipe up 4' into chimney so didn't think about that of pipe being dirty. Looks like when I give it its 1 ton cleaning I'll do the pipe also. Thanks again for the advice

I have a king stove that I turned off one night now it will not come back on doesn't even have a light on the board to turn it on not sure if it's getting electricity

We replaced our convection blower as it was not kicking on and still is not working. Any suggestions on what the problem would be or anything else that I can check?

It could have a heat sensor switch that turns it on and if that has gone bad that would keep your stove from turning on the fan.

Hi, I have a Harmon Accentra pellet stove and it isn't working properly. We just switched pellets and thought it was that , but got new smaller pellets and same thing is happening. The stove will start up, get a low flame and then we get the 6 blink error code. We feel like the pellets aren't getting into feed chamber bcs we knock them in and then it starts working again only to shut off 30 or so minutes later. The flame never gets big. The stove never heats up it just shuts down. We thought the pellets were making a bridge bcs it would start again when we jiggled the pellets. We have thoughroughly cleaned the stove. It was dirty when this initially started happening a week and a half ago. Any help in diagnosing would be really helpful. Thanks, Alysia

+Alysia B I don't know off hand what the error 6 code is so I looked it up online and found this threat that might be helpful to you....www.hearth.com/talk/threads/harman-accentra-error-code-6-again.74521/ But if your not getting the pellets to feed like they should its possible your auger motor may be getting weak.

Is 7 years a long time before you have a motor goes on your Pellet Stove is this good thing.

Depending on which stove you have and which motor it is. Some only last 3-5 years. Some last 20 years. 7 years would be at the bottom if it is a high quality model.

stove is heating up not blowing air out do u think it's the top motor?

What make and model is your stove?

We have a pp130, it will run 20 minutes or so then the convection motor locks up like something hit a brake on it. Take it out and it will spin freely.. put back in and same thing.. run a while then lock up suddenly. Any suggestions?

My pellet stove runs for a while then it makes a loud pop like it blew a breaker, the blower still blows but the fire goes out. The breaker did not trip. What do you think?

The pop could be from a snap disc or from a relay on the control board. If you high limit sensor is getting tripped, the stove will stop feeding pellets and the fire will go out. I would probably try bypassing or replacing the high limit sensor to start.

hi aqua fire 1000 ,that is my pellet stove my pelet stove shut down any time stop completely all all all like is no electricity cold working no stop at all for one ,two days or more ,but when i stop it to cleane it and put it on after,now could work for 10 or 30 minutes and full stiop nothing working waiting for 10 minutes and put the reset again ,to worke and can make this operation for 2,or more times is very strange ,no one techniocien hier know what could be the problem ollready 2 technicien came ,nothing nothing just to tell u i change the:thermo couple,the convection motor and the snap disc for the convectuion blower change the blower the one hoo send the air ouside of the house how and what i should to do can u help please? thank u

Seems like all that is left is the control box. Unless there is a wire coming lose somewhere I'm not sure what else it could be.

Why does the small particles from the pellets keep clogging the end of the auger, then causing it to get What can I do to prevent this. It happens immediately after I start the stove.

If the auger motor is older it may just be getting tired and has lost it's power to push through that build up. You may need a new auger motor.

Overfeeding is usually and low airflow problem. Too much fuel not enough air. Usually caused by blockage in the air pathway or exhaust fan going bad.

I like your video's but if you wanted to be a pellet stove Tech and work on them for money, what is the best way to go it.?

The way that I learned how to work on Pellet Stoves was by going to work for a store who sold them and needed a service technician. If you're a bit more gutsy you could probably get most of the info you needed on how to fix any stove from youtube. Put out an add in your local paper or craigslist and see who calls with what problems and try to fix em.

My pelpro won’t come out of “shut down” mode. What do i do??
