I learnt this and added another motion. Get yourself the Cyan Heron. Its ability allows you to rise a bit higher (but moreso horizontal motion) BUT heres the big part, it resets your dodge! That means you can add another plunge dodge plunge combo and if you're lucky enough, you might be able to sneak in another grapple if the motion lasts long enough. I usually like to add in Jiyan's skill mid-air (has a low cooldown so I can easily activate it twice) to gain enough time to continue the combo just a little bit longer (sometimes I'm able to use the Heron's ability twice, hence the plunge dodge plunge combo resets once more). It's really easier than it sounds, once you know what to do you can just keep on adding to it.

Plunge dmg is not that important in this games, is more toward perfect dodge or counter..

Nah, you can plunge with anybody. They all gain at least a LITTLE bit of height.

One thing for people trying this out, broadsword chars will go up in the air a lot more than any other char when they do the plunge so you can use them to get a lot of height. If you have jiyan, you can also do his e before or after the grapple after the plunges or after being swaped out of a character. What I do when I want to very quickly get a lot of vertical height is use taoqi to do the jump plunge dodge plunge grapple combo and then I insta swap to jiyan to use his e if I need to land somewhere. If we get chars that can use their skills midair in the future like him we can probably do cool stuff

I love that this game has advanced movement tech already lmao. This is why i was excited for the game.

This reminds me so much of doing high jump trick in Nier Automata The gliding is also so similar to that game that my muscle memory often makes me hit the attack button when gliding in attempt to gain more distance (which will happen in Nier by doing the spinning kick attack) which caused me to do plunging attack and drowning me in water below lmao

Thanks for sharing this new tech! Its been very useful in exploration and satisfying to execute. Also wanted to note that if you want to travel faster in the overworld, you can use the hold version of the inferno rider to go zoom.

Holy shit this is great! I have made solo Danjin boss videos and some boss attacks in this game have really long active hitboxes (like crownless's multi flying slash) where you can only dodge so much before either the attack's hurtbox last so long or that stamina runs out. Staying in the air longer instead will definitely help!

That bit at the end is so funny, this is the kind of mostly meaningless but still fun kind of goofy tech that I love about these kinds of games. Ty so much for the tips!

Amazing tutorial!

The combo is insane, potato brain working at it's full capacity rn. The last one seems super fun, don't know how much higher you get but still fun.

An additonal fun tip, some echoes can be used midair like the dreamless and cyan feathered herron and doing so will refresh your midair dodge. And the green bird can also be helpfull if you need more horizontal boost midair, since you can dodge again after you use it. Mostly just for flex heights lmao

As a hardcore player already know this and it's already part of my daily gameplay it's so simple it takes 0.8 sec to perform it can even be useful for dodging bosses AOE atks. You can also use this to do insane combos and movements it actually so satisfying I can't even express how much more we can do in the game.

You can go even higher since you can swap characters while plunging. Plunge and instantly swap and plunge, the swap to verina to stall for swap cooldowns to refresh and repeat. So long as you have enough stamina

Lemme add something. Some of the echo skills can reset your jump, allow you to do one more plunge cancel, and you know you can switch characters midair, it could be much higher.

I tried to do this using a controller (i prefer to use controller with these type of games) and boy was it hard. Tried again with keyboard..pretty easy and cool. Thank you, cutie!

Guys you don't even need to memorize, just spam the keys and it will auto work, only thing you need to time is the grapple. Once you see your char jumped twice, just keep smashing everything + grapple. Also if you have Jiyan you can extend this even further, and same if you have the monkey echo (Q from ground to get high in air with monkey, then do the triple jump)

I found another addition but Idk if it really is helpful and if you could call it 4 jump... Jump > Plunge > Dash > Dreamless skill "Q" > Plunge > dash > grapple looks like Echo skills resets the dash mid air so if you can find the correct jump combo it might help Also some Broadsword user(Taoqi) plunge attack rises higher than other character plunge Edit: looks like someone already commented it and apparently there's another echo that can hop higher

The Game itself have a side quest to practice the Jump+Dodge and Grapples as well. Not only you practice the Jump and Grapple mechanics but also earn rewards as well. Enjoy the Game

I stumbled upon the infinite jump too. And yes, with the right characters you can keep on gaining height with it. I was just seeing if any other videos had it. If not I was going to make my own.

I have not encountered any circumstances that i need a tripple jump so far

that plunge tech at the end gave me portrait of ruin flashbacks XD

there's a kinda upgraded? version of this that i do. which i mostly do for gaining aerial forward traversal. basically add in the green bird for all the characters and it will reset your dodge button. also eat food if you have grapple +plunge+ dodge+ plunge+ bird + plunge+ dodge + plunge switch repeat after grapple then sneak in some grapple if it cooled down. the problem with this is obviously you won't have enough stamina to do full combo (only have tried this in cbt2 so far) so i basically try not to tire myself out by removing all the plunges. and instead glide till you get grapple for more air time to wait for all birds to cd

you could also use cyan feathered heron to reset mid air jump

Just one note to anyone who does this regularly: remember to switch your utility button to the Grapple! I kept forgetting that I had the Lootmapper on and accidentally plunged a bunch of times. The grapple part of this technique also does not work if there is a visible Grapple Point. Learned about it the hard way.
