How To Trim Windows Van Conversion Build Window Trim for DIY Van Interior Design vanlife Promaster

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is Part 2 of the window trim series. For van life, converting the van for comfort when travelling, camping or boondocking is so important. The van builder has many things to consider. Too often the build is focused on the technical parts, the 12 volt wiring system, the Renogy MPPT controller, or the Coleman solar panels that feed it electricity. Will we have a DC-DC charging system or shore power through a converter. We spend hours deciding between AGM Deep cycle and Lithium Ion Battery www.voyagerrv.ca/ . There are so many choices and that’s only the van conversions electric system. We have to think about the benefits of Maxair fans or Fantastic fans ( we used both ), will we have a domectic cooler or fridge www.dometic.com/en-us/outdoor... . We spend so many hours trying to figure the van components it’s easy to rush to finish when you can see the end. But that would be a mistake. The last things you do on your van build are the ones you’ll see every time you use it. As we travel down the road in our RV or camper van we do it to take in the sites. Camping in the mountains or boondocking beside a lake. We want to see these things and having windows that don’t distract your view is critical to a wonderful vanife.
This is how we installed our windows • How To Install Windows...
One of our favourite places to camp in our van is the Victoria Park camp Ground In Cobourg Ontario - right on the beach www.cobourg.ca/en/town-hall/V...

I've been following your videos for a little while now, just wanted to say thanks. Listening to your thought process and explanations is almost like having a master carpenter to bounce ideas off of, and has greatly influenced and improved the quality of my build. I plan on framing my window a little differently, and I used different roof clips than your DIY solution, but there's still so much knowledge, practicality, and experience I can borrow from your videos. They're worth watching twice.

J A - that is so kind. Thank you for taking the time to write. You have no idea how much it means to me as I work away in the mountains !! It's great that you are using other methods but still finding my stuff helpful (but I hate the idea of you spending more that $ 13.44 for the roof clips !! :)) Be well and stop back !!!

Hey. Nice video! Is jack nut another name for rivet nut? Are you making your holes in the window frame or were they there.

Hi Katy - thanks for stopping by and taking the time to watch. Jack Nuts are different from rivet nuts - they have a wider overlap of metal and are installed mechanically with a drill so it's easier to get a complete compression. I bought them at my local auto supply store - but had never seen the before on line so I had a learning curve :) ....... you can see them here ... kzread.info/dash/bejne/o4WHtZmzlJm3pqw.html hope you'll stop back . be well .... Dave
