    My Henry is just as aggressive as Jack here. I ended up after many groomer attempts to cut him myself in our bathroom. It took hrs he hated being groomed but if I was slow & steady he would tolerate me. I miss him so much. He passed last April. I’m thinking of getting a frenchie. Love your videos.

    I cut my own dog’s hair and this was very helpful. I hate cutting the leg hair because all my dogs either get defensive with the paws, or constantly want to sit/lay down. But this video was encouraging. Thanks

    I have a new Welsh Springer Spaniel puppy and this is giving me a good idea of how to do her feet. Two weeks home and she already really needs them trimmed so she can have traction on the vinyl floor and her nails can be trimmed. I’ve never had a dog that’s needed grooming rather than a bath and brush, but your video was very easy to follow and I think I can manage it now.

    Dede you are just great! I really enjoy your approach and also being firm with understanding they need to behave. Thank you again for being so informative. I think I am almost ready to purchase a dog. I think a Yorke or Poodle. Have a great day. Oh I am a realtor as well. God Bless.

    What kind of clipper do you have? I bought a middle of the line Andis that came with a number 10 blade. It has a quick release for the blade but where do I get the other sizes you reference? I have a Lhasa Apso resuce and he's pretty patient with me, but I don't usually do a complete groom in one session. I break it up into sections and give lots of praise and little training treats as I go.

    I have a question I'm really hoping you can answer. My dog Lucy a maltese X mini schnauzer has a very rusty looking build up on her tummy and even more near her privates (not her butt tho) I'm pretty sure it's from her licking but I'm wondering how to get it off of her... I've tried dog shampoos and what not and olive oil but it won't come off.. I'm worried about her skin and people thinking we don't take care of her.

    Should I save the fur on my medium hair border collies feet if she’s living outside? I don’t want to because she walks on rocks,grass,mud and sand. I think the fur protects her pads.

    About muzzles - we had a dog that behaved badly for the vet and we found the best muzzle for him was a basket muzzle. He could not bite with that on 😁

    ordering it and trying it on video. Will let you know. A few of you said something about this. I think it'll be too heavy for the ones that bite a lot, cause they are smaller dogs. But, you don't know unless you try it. So, I'll be ordering today.

    Kimberly Route are you talking on the dogs sheath, chest or abdomen? My dog has a deep chest and has recently started hitting his chest as he learns to lift his legs. His sheath is kept short while I did a 13 guard all over the body and chest.

    She had a 7 for part of the legs then switched to a 10 to finished and if the blade drive is oiled well then it shouldn’t get too hot after two little dog leggies :o

  • @doodabodker1770
    @doodabodker17705 жыл бұрын

    There is a big difference in a 10 blade and a 7 blade. Since you have a muzzle on the dog maybe you shouldn't worry so much about the camera so you can get the dog done quicker. Still don't understand the purpose of the muzzle when you don't need it. licking their lips dosent always mean they are gonna bite . I only use a muzzle if I absolutely have to. Sometimes all it does is freak them out more and makes them want to bite and fight you. Also please tell me in your nail trimming video you don't cut every toe nail 3 times each cuz that's just ridiculous.

    I don’t like your methods. You’re too brusque and authoritive! I know a groomer who handled a vicious biting dog and through a relaxed atmosphere and gentle handling did a total relaxing cut and clip without ever saying “NO.” 😎👎🏻
