How to Treat the Physical Side of Hiatal Hernia

Treating Hiatal Hernia Syndrome involves physical treatment, often, along with the internal normalization of the GI tract, nervous system, hormones and more.
When it comes to a physical evaluation which we can perform over Zoom, an extensive amount of testing is performed including:
Posture evaluation
Rib motion
Breathing - chest vs abdominal
Flexibility
Strength of certain muscles
Spinal movement
Neck and shoulder movement
Low back motion
Jaw excursion - looking at the jaw in motion
Vagus nerve evaluation
Orthopedic and neurologic testing
Once the evaluation is completed we let you know the areas that require treatment. Treatment can be performed long distance and any chiropractic care needed can be performed by a local doctor which we can help you find.
Specific maneuvers and exercises are taught on a gradient to restore normal motion of the diaphragm, function of the vagus nerve, mobility of the neck, jaw, low back and other related areas discovered during the evaluation.
Ultimately such treatment, along with internal care should result in resolution of Hiatal Hernia Syndrome. We have a high success rate and the program involves no drugs nor surgery.

She has a program. If you find her online and call or email, someone from her office will call you back. Only problem is that they're not covered by insurance. But if you can handle the cost, it would be worth it to get your health back! I am trying my local functional doctor first, but if that doesn't work, I'll try her program at Root Cause.

I really enjoy listening to your KZread’s. I bought your book, hiatal hernia syndrome. Your recipes look great but I’m hesitant to try any of them. Many of the ingredients I’ve been told not to eat, examples, onion, garlic, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. Wondering if there is a certain time during treatments that you can eat those things again?

You may have a fructan sensitivity (I do), and onion and garlic might be off the table forever, but just like anything else, it's very individual. You can check for that yourself by doing an elimination diet and cut out all fructans and then try reintroducing them?

I'm moving to Florida in a few months and have been dealing with a sliding hiatal hernia for many years. It has been debilitation and causing increasing anxiety and panic attacks to the point it's difficult to go at and do normal every day activities; working out is out of the question at this point. Once I move down there I want to definitely come in to see you guys! I need help. :(

I'm so sorry you've been suffering for so long - I know it's miserable. That's great news that you're moving to Florida. It would be good to schedule the initial consultation even before your move as there are some things we can begin even before your arrived. Please call for a consultation: 727-335-0400. We are delighted to help.

I have a moderately compressed spinal cord at the neck. I just had an injection but need one on the opposite side. I have some mid back degeneration to a lesser extent..low back okay minus facet joint issues. RIB pain, hiatal hernia, heart palipitations worse when bending. Swallowing issues which are improving with diet..acid reflux improving with diet.

Your videos are really unique and groundbreaking, and the concept of going through surgery for this condition only to have it fail is very scary. Is it possible to royally screw yourself up from a single heavy weight workout? I did a super hard chest & arm workout a month ago (that whole diaphragm area), and my entire digestive system has been off ever since- reflux, heartburn, recalcitrant constipation, new food sensitivities, tons of mucus in the throat, a weird swallow, some minor heart palps too. I may have to get in touch!

I'm starting to think this is what happened to me. I added heavy weights to my leg workout and I've had heart palpitations randomly trying to figure it out, and realizing it's my vagus nerve. This all makes so much sense LOL all of this. I've always had gut issues too.

Health insurance does not cover us. Yes, we have payment plans. It typically take about 4 to 5 months for an entire program. Feeling improvement tends to happen about the 8 week mark. If you'd like some help consider contacting us for a consultation. We have a high success rate and would be delighted to assist. You can call us at 727-335-0400.

Hi, my son is 11 years old. He is suffering from sliding hyatal harnia. I am communicating with your institution to get treatment through zoom. But my question is the evaluation you explained here, how can these be done over telemedicine. And carry on treatment accordingly? I am from Bangladesh, a neighbour country of INDIA.

We can treat over Zoom but when dealing with a minor we are more cautious. We'd need to know more about your son's health.
