How to Treat Candida at Home: Doctors Advice

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Candida is also known as an oral yeast infection or oral thrush. This condition is not uncommon. It results in white spots on your tongue. You may also have painful red spots on your tongue.
#Candidiasis is most common in infants, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.
#Oralthrush is also very common in those with diabetes, HIV, or those with dentures or asthma inhalers.
To treat Candida at home you should:
1. Stay away from sugary and starchy foods
2. Use a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide (3%)
3. Rinse your mouth with warm water and salt
4. Make sure to keep your dentures clean
5. Replace your toothbrush frequently
6. Use baking soda instead of toothpaste
7. Visit our office to get a prescription for Nystatin or Fluconazole
(These treatments almost always work)

A lot of doctors do not understand that a yeast infection is systemic it starts from the gut, only way to properly treat it is with diet , enzymes and cutting the stuff that caused to appear in the first place stuff like alchohol, sugar , coffee, etc. Most doctors treat only one area which does not treat the root cause of the disease that is why it relapses, I understand more probably about it now than some doctors, with knowledge come the right solutions so please everyone I encourage you to read about it and educate yourselves first before you combat it.

Excellent and very important share. I crushed candida overgrowth in my mouth by trading my toothpaste for unrefined coconut oil and with an oral rinse consisting of 2 oz hot distilled water, half teaspoon baking soda, half teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt, 1 tsp avocado oil, four drops tea tree oil and 4 drops peppermint oil. My mouth has never been so healthy, not even close. I also attacked it in my sinuses with a NeilMed Sinus Rinse bottle and packets which consists of baking soda and salt, I can't believe how huge of an improvement it's all made. No more nasty mouth, just fresh clean breath with super healthy gums and a tongue that is always pink even in the morning when I wake up. Hallelujah!!!

You are like a breath of fresh air for finding a diagnosis of a yeast infection which is what I’ve got. So many KZreadrs on here say they can help you but after a few minutes, they try selling a product, which makes me think they aren’t genuine. I hate that, making money out of peoples misery. After watching you’re video here Joseph I can clearly see my tongue looks exactly the same. I’ve had a lot of issues with this causing a burning sensation in my mouth, and a bitter, sulphur taste at times. It makes brushing my teeth uncomfortable as well, because it can inflame my gums. I’ve also had issues with a burning sensation in my throat and some issues with acid reflux. Last year I had a chronic sinus infection and chest infection, and I was prescribed a course of amoxicillin antibiotics. I was reluctant to take them, because the doc did not examine me, diagnosing me over the phone, during lockdown. I’m now rebalancing my diet, drinking a glass of kefir and raw, unpasteurised sauerkraut and kimchi, or though that can be expensive, so I have that in moderation. Eating less sugar, but I do still have 50g of dark chocolate everyday with a bowl of porridge and almonds. Lots of green tea and I enjoy drinking almond milk, drinking less caffeine now than I did before. I’ve looked into as well my diet, making sure my foods are not too acidic and are more alkaline too. I went to my dentist the other week. I said I’m concerned about the coating on my tongue, explaining I have a lot of discomfort brushing my teeth at times. She said, everybody has a little bit of gingivitis, so I wouldn’t worry about that. I hardly eat any sugar and I brush twice a day, and floss once a day, and yet, I have this. The dentist said she will refer me to someone to have a look at it, to help reassure me I’m okay. But she never said it was a yeast infection, but my tongue looks the same as the one you showed in this video, and I have the same symptoms. I’m also gargling twice a day with a teaspoon of salt in warm water, and it’s helping, but I probably need to change my brush more frequently. The burning discomfort in my throat comes and goes, and now it’s a lot better but it does resurface again at times. My diet is better now, and I’m going back to the gym again to have a more active lifestyle, since this Covid madness started in 2020. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Candida is the most depressing thing that I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s a silent battle. All I want to do is isolate myself from the world. I’ve tried everything and so far I haven’t found a solution. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I hope we all heal from this disease.

@Sam Horton I always was told to rinse my mouth after taking my inhaler and then when I was in the hospital and taking meds, the guy giving them told me certain inhalers are better than others and it didn't matter if I rinsed or not and I think he is right. He explained that whatever medicine they put in it to make it go into your lungs is what causes the thrush. (Like the force action.) Advair or Albuterol is what I was on, I forget which one was better...but research and see maybe, it might help. I had used both for long periods and I definitely got more thrush using one over the other.

I've had oral yeast infections a couple of times due to either consistent alcohol based mouth wash use or during use of an antibiotic. How I fixed it was mixing a probiotic in with some water and letting it slosh and sit in my mouth for several minutes each day. It rebuilds the good bacteria in the mouth which is what keeps yeast under control and the absence of which is what caused it to grow out of control in the first place. Completely gone in 3-4 days.

Thank you Dr. Nemeth! You are the only dentist that spoke the truth or is smart enough to know it. I have been SUFFERING badly with Candida for MANY years, and my gums/tongue has been a mess. I've gone to over 5 different dentists & nobody has agreed with me when I told them to look for it. Nobody "sees" anything, but meanwhile, I KNOW it's there. I have systemic Candida for many years throughout my body too. I have cancer & three different Oncologists said they don't believe in Candida. I get no help & I'm SO sick from it, so I don't get the medication I need to help rid myself of it.

Our bodies communicate all sorts of information to us every single day and yet most of us miss these cues (e.g. bloating, diarrhea, cramps, skin rashes, gastric reflux, chronic fatigue, etc.) that inform us of an underlying disturbance in our bodies. We aren't entirely to blame since when we were young, the adults in our lives were equally clueless as we were about all sorts of health issues, particularly diet and nutrition. It's up to us, now that we're adults, to teach the younger generation about these issues. Let's not repeat the cycle of ignorance.

Had to be admitted to the hospital ,(for dehydration and malnutrition ). I’m on the “magic rinse”, the nystatin and deflucan daily for 10 days . Wow I wouldn’t wish this on anyone it’s horrible . I’m done with sugar , and as a very non gmo, mostly vegetable eater (former vegan for 8 years ), I knew better! Thanks for this break down !

I just want to thank you for explaining what oral yeast is, I wish I could've found you about 15 years ago. For around 2 years the corners of my mouth were non-stop splitting and very painful. It was horrible looking and was actually starting to scar. I saw several doctors about this and I kept getting "malnutrition" for an answer. Finally I decided I was going to have to figure it out. I searched through Google images for weeks and came across many that looked the same but other details were wrong. I finally clicked on an image and it took me to a dentist website and it explained that the woman had a yeast infection due to ill-fitting dentures. BINGO! I had been wearing my ill-fitting dentures almost 24/7 for 2 years! No doctor ever even asked to look IN my mouth. I think dentists are the only ones who actually know all the signs and reasons for oral yeast/thrush. Thank you again for explaining and for the microscopic images. I've never seen what it looks like before.
