I always heard that GABA does not cross the blood brain barrier so it is insufficient. Could anybody explain to me if this is correct? Everything I’ve read in the past has led me to believe that it won’t cross the blood brain barrier and it won’t be able to be effective

Which supplement can I use for hyperactivity? My 3.5 years old is getting better with lithium orotate, but I think maybe he can do better. He can't stop "talking" loudly if I can call it talking because it is gibberish. Maybe scripting not sure. I am suspecting he has high adrenaline. Any thoughts. Again thank you for easing our pains out there

I started him on 1/4 teaspoon of gaba and 1/8 teaspoon of l theanine 2 times a day 400mg of magnesium once a day. I've seen improvements. It certainly helped a bit. Aggressive behaviors are still there but less frequently and not as long a duration. Thank you for your help

My son was nonverbal til 7 yet was reading 6th grade level at 5 years old, I'm also autistic, I promise, you will see the amazing parts of autism, my son was speaking Spanish at 3, yet not his feelings and observations, not til 7, he reads and sings in Russian and Spanish, and is much more advanced than his neurotypical peers.

As for ow, from February all his words are gone, pushes other children ( don't know how to play). Hopefully, he will at least function when he grows because he was too smart . He is still is actually but in different ways

@@DarkAngel-cj6sx maybe just plays in different ways, tbh my son never played with toys rather wanted a phone or a remote with close caption on..that honestly why he reads and spells and understand math so well, rather than take away screen time or let him be narcissisticly abused by his ABA therapy I wasn't aware he was in.. I let him watch as much television as he wanted, or phone ie youtube or downloading games. I know he learns safely in this way, and if he's safe feeling then he's learning more, with selective mutism or the possibility of dysphagia ABA therapy is the worst thing for a autistic, especially if they also have pda.." pathological demand avoidance" ... so if the kid is being taught the " I'm sorry are you okay"? Or uh oh , try again, it's not just taught by ABA therapy it's conditioned and anchored, ie everything from the pairing process, to the nlp anchoring, will make it worse, my son stopped being violent after we stopped it.

They told me when my son was 3 that he had the milestones of a 6 month old, 3 months later he was doing abc' forward and backwards and spelling words like vacuum.. I literally did everything opposite they told me, and once he showed ability that's when he was praised, he wasn't human till he showed ability, tbh I look at my son as a perfect equal, and that with respecting his way of silent conversation, he finally respected me enough to try to be verbal.. and again, I personally wasn't pushing it, yet that's probably what helped with the anxiety, which caused him to make choking or scream choking sounds, now he's become verbal, he has told me, I'm choking help, and he tries clearing his throat and so on, at 5 years old he literally said nothing but "achoo" like a sneeze or " king Julian " that was the only thing he said, it wasn't till 6 he could tell me yes or no, I suggest looking up disassociation and the "autistic freeze". Oh, and definitely look up PDA, I really wish I knew about that one.
