HOW TO TRAVEL MELBOURNE (Best Destinations and Prices)

Melbourne Australia is an incredible destination for travelers, foodies and nature seekers SO I wanted to make a travel guide for it. From the vibrance of the downtown CBD to the picturesque Great Ocean Road, there is something for everyone here.
Thank you to Air Canada and Visit Victoria for making this possible!

It’s not ironic that it’s winter in Australia when it is summer in North America. It’s just science.

It's Cold, Its winter, so what? think you'll find most cities around the world are cold in winter. Great opportunity to hit the ski slopes, find a nice bar for a drink or go to a nice restaurant with a fire for a meal. i don't get it???? i really does not rain much in winter. Less than most cities around The country and you don't have to worry about the crowds as much....

I’m from Melbourne and for anyone who wants to travel here or anywhere in Australia I highly recommend checking out places outside of the CBD. I always see people going straight to the city but some of the most amazing places are found in the outer suburbs and into the country. I live near the Yarra valley so that was so good seeing You guys explore outside of the CBD.

As someone born and bred in Melbourne, I have entertained many family from international countries. Can confirm this is a fantastic itinerary! Great video! You missed a couple locations in the cbd: eureka sky deck - tallest building with a viewing platform and if you dare a glass floor. Bourke street mall - main mall with many shops, in Christmas season this is a must, Myer do a kids story through the Christmas windows which is incredibly intricate and detailed Crown casino- in the evenings every hour all the pillars out the front have a large fire show. This area, “Southbank” is also a great walk with great restaurants. Queen Victoria markets- open only some days so check this out first, but it’s a great collection of trinkets to food to clothing, will take a few hours. A great day trip is to Healesville sanctuary, just like your kangaroo adventure this could possibly be as good but also expose you to other native wildlife. ... also it is quite funny that you ate the pie upside down:) Happy travelling!

I spent 20 years in the navy, everywhere I've been has four seasons in one day. Don't get conned by those narcissist spoon fed staters. Syckley has four seasons in one day too. They are just too stupid to see it and too hypocritical to admit it.

The Syckleyites conned you into believing Melbourne is the only place that happens have they? Well as the saying goes, if you tell people the same bullshit often enough, they will eventually believe you. Regardless of how pathetic it is. The last time I was in Queersland I was happily pointing out the fact they were having four seasons in one day, as it was happening. They didn't enjoy feeling like a bunch of hypocrites very much.

I'm 15 and born and raised in Melbourne. The Dandenong Ranges (between the Yarra Valley and the City) is just a beautiful place for tourists and people lucky enough to live in it. It definitely should be high up in the places to visit. AFL is massive and if the season is on you *Have* to go. Make sure you put on black and white colours for it. Although it doesn't snow pretty much anywhere apart from the high country, it still can get bittery cold during winter. Summer on the other hand we will get what would be called 'heat waves' by others pretty regularly.

I love that you did Melbourne instead of Sydney. Mainly because I lived there for six months. :P And I actually reached out to the Melbourne tourism board to get sponsored for a video but they never got back to me. xD You hit a lot of the good spots! I did The Great Ocean Road in one day, but I definitely recommend two as well, since it's about 4 hours each way. Better to chill and soak it in more. St Kilda is pretty dope. That's where most the travelers live. Cheaper than Fitzroy but still decently spendy since it's Australia. Walking around the CBD is a blast. There's the river walk that's super cool at night with street performs and artists, and outside the casino there are large pillars that spew fire into the air! Was excited to watch this one and definitely enjoyed it Christian! Looking forward to the next time you visit Melbs!

Definitely one thing that's worth checking out in Melbourne are the penguins on Phillip island. Plus that rainforest you drove through on the great ocean road is one of only two temperate rainforests in the world from memory.

I'm so lucky that I live here!! I live on the Mornington Peninsula. It's the most beautiful stretch of coastline around 1 hour south of Melbourne. You can catch a train down there. But it was so amazing watching this even though I'm from here. I hope you guys had a lovely time.

Melbourne also has many events on throughout the year, good to check before travelling, like F1's, comedy festival, Melbourne show, Moomba, film festival, summer/winter night markets, theatre/broadway shows and more. Also if you like shopping, there are many malls throughout the city as well as a shopping center (Chadstone) the size of a small city 20 mins out of Melbourne CBD. And in summer, great to spend a day or 2 going to the Mornington Peninsula (up to 2hrs drive from CBD) with great beaches, walking trails, beach carnivals and a ferry across the bay.

I live in Geelong (100kms from Melbourne) and I just wanted to state the the great ocean road is incredible, but the more amazing thing about it is how it was made.. how young men used pick axes to cut out mountains and how many men lost their lives during the construction. You really appreciate the beauty of it so much more when you travel it...
