How to Travel in Brazil 🇧🇷 | Rio de Janeiro to Paraty (costa verde bus)
Come with us as we learn how to travel in Brazil. In today’s Brazil vlog, we are taking a bus from Rio de Janeiro to Paraty, Brazil and bringing you along with us on our travel in brazil.
There are really only 3 ways to get to Paraty, Brazil from Rio, and that is by bus, private car, or semi-minibus. We chose the least expensive option and are traveling there on a 4 hour and 40 minute bus on a bus line called Costa Verde bus. It cost us about $21 USD/person to take this journey, but it was so seamless and we can’t even begin to describe how beautiful the journey was.
We really think that even if you have the opportunity to go from place to place by plane, if you have the time, take the bus because Brazil is just unbelievably beautiful.
Although you can buy tickets directly from the Costa Verde website, we were having some issues and ended up booking our bus tickets thru BusBud, which we had used in the past. Although a third party is always little more expensive, it was the easiest option for us.

In the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro there is a beautiful city called Duas Barras. (near Nova Friburgo) It is a tourist city of 10 thousand inhabitants. The city was colonized by Germans and Swiss. American singer Leny Kravitz was enchanted by the city and bought a beautiful farmhouse. They usually live there 6 months of the year. The city has beautiful waterfalls and beautiful mountains. It is one of the safest cities in Rio de Janeiro.

8:00 Praia Brava and Mambucaba(Vila Residencial) are 2 of the residential areas for workers of the nuclear power plant in Angra dos Reis, which is the only such plant in Brazil.

Hello! As soon as you return to Brazil, you will also go to Angra dos Reis, which is an hour and a half from Paraty. Angra is also a destination for foreigners! I'm from Angra, that's why I'm giving this tip!😉😉

@@samandnick well most part of the people I know start it from the top. I do this too... because the upper part is crunchy. But people who starts on the "but" as we say (lol - sorry, but we are brazilians!!) say that as the cockie resembles a chicken leg you should eat as you it a real chicken leg, holding it in the tip! PS. the translation for Coxinha is "little chicken leg"
Hi, great video. Very informative as I will soon do the same trip. I was wondering if there is a toilet inside the bus? Or do you have to wait for bathroom breaks? Thanks

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! I don’t think there is a toilet on the bus. I did not see one, but I could be wrong. We sat in the front and don’t go in the back. There is 1 bathroom break of the 4.5 hour drive and it’s a little over an hour in so make sure you get it all out at the stop lol

Generally companies with longer bus routes have buses with bathrooms, but I warn you that the bathrooms are only for urinating or for extreme emergencies.

@@elterm.886 thanks for the reply. I recently got back from my trip around Brazil and Paraguay. I confirm all long distance buses I took had bathrooms, which luckily I didn’t need to use. ✌🏻
