@@dwbackyardgardencookingetc5440 I am doing okay. Busy as usual, catching up with gardeb stuff. We are late in starting this year, our tiller broke. And now weeds growing. We will be putting mulch all over our garden this year to keep weeds at bay. That's the plan, we'll.

Hello! Do you mean cassava root? Isn't the same as malanga? I've tried planting it once before and it died as I didn't take care of it as I should. I have taro growing in my garden they come.back every year

Hi Marie! Thanks so much for your video about planting chayote! This is the first time I started to think about planting chayote and I have a plant inside the house now for about 1 month already and I am waiting until beginning of March to transplant it to outside (I'm so lucky to live in san jose, CA (zone 9b). My questions are Can I plant it in a raising bed? Since my backyard ground is all in concrete and I've been growing squash inside raising beds last year and it's doing fine! Also what kind of fertilizer you're using for chayote? Can you give me the name? Thanks so much! ❤

Yes you can plant in raised beds, as long as there is enough soil for the roots to grow into. Nothing special fertilizer, any plant veggie fertilizer, preferablly organic would work. Rich loamy soil will work fine, too.

My chayote always died 😢 I can never grow one for some reason 😢

Mamatay ang sayote pag winter. Taboni ug baga nga mulch ang base sa tanum. Pag autumn sa container ka ra mag tanum, just trim the ends pra dili mo dako kaau, then e-transfer nlng sa gawas during spring time.
